Topic: Street Fighter V PS4 Beta

It's a nightmare using some websites on my phone, but this website is very friendly when using my mobile, good work guys.

I'll be waiting to later on to try the Beta seeing as its having trouble at the moment, but hopefully Capcom has fully fixed the problem, looking forwards to trying it out.

So I was able to get in for about an hour today, didn't play against anyone just was in the training room the whole time but I got a chance to try all available fighters before I got DC'd . So far I am liking Charlie but Ryu and Chun Li felt good too.

Just to let you know if you get the error code 21007 it means the servers are full currently so just keep trying and you will get in that's what I did anyways.

So I am guessing now the beta is over since whenever I try to start the game it closes the app and puts me back to the PS4 main screen.

@Tasuki: No the servers were down for the day for maintenance, beta is going to be extended though.

I played 3 rounds yesterday =). And spent some time in training. Oh, I think this game is fantastic =). Can't wait to play more. Visuals are beautiful, especially Cammy's breasts. OMG =).

Cannot even get in UK but will try again later.

Anyone else get an update installed tonight? I wonder if there is another beta this weekend?

This is terrible timing on my part...

I was about to say "Yeah, some form of test is live again" and literally as I logged in to PS, I was booted. I don't know if this is due to it being taken down for the time being, but a friend says he's back in as I type.

There is a rolling message ingame stating this is an "internet stress test". But... when the servers have been stable, I've been able to get in fairly quickly - three or four attempts. It's not an announced thing, but it's worth a shot now and again - just... expect things to stop at any moment.

ALERT: EU beta stress test happening today at 16:00 BST and runs till midnight BST, the test continues on Friday at the same and duration. An NA and asia test will be announced once Capcom see how things run over here. The 5 day beta as originally planned is still coming too, this is just to test the servers.

Hey all, didn't take part in the first round, but I've just redeemed my code for the second beta tests over this weekend. Can't seem to find a download for the beta in the store though (using the browser store) - is there some other way I need to go about getting it, or can you only find it when browsing direct from the console? Cheers

I checked out the beta a few days ago visually and gameplay wise I love the game, but like most games of this type I don't like playing online mainly cause all I do is lose lol. Will still be picking this game up though just not to keen on online mode.

@Tasuki: I'm the same, thought I was actually pretty decent at Trekked Tag 2 until I took it online and got torn apart!

@SteveButler2210: Yeah I just don't have the time really to sink into one game like these people do online with fighting games. Most I just play fighting games against family and friends offline.

I really wanna get into Street Fighter but how do you do the advance stuff like cancel moves and EX???? I have no idea! And do I have to preorder to get in the Beta?

@Blast: Yes you have to preorder the game to get into the beta.

Question about the name you choose, even though it says "placeholder" I was wondering if its final. I wanna change it later on as a couple of names I initially wanted were already taken.

@WanderingBullet: The system for that seems kinda borked - the beta popped up a couple of days early for an hour or so, and let me choose my preferred name.

When the beta officially started, I was again prompted to choose a name but it said my choice was taken. I chose a second name, then, once online I had my first choice again!

I suppose this is a system to both stop overlap of PSN/Steam names, and something in place to stop people changing their Steam names all the time, as the fighting community they're building ingame seems to depend on usernames as a definite ID, and I'd put money on it all being wiped before release

@Shillll: Oh, I hope I don't get stuck with that temporary name I've chosen simply I was kinda in a hurry to try the Beta but couldn't come up with another name that I wanted.

The PC version of the beta was data mined recently including audio files (character introductions etc) and it would seem that the six fighters that Capcom promised will come within the first year of SFV as DLC have been revealed.
