@Scollurio If we're able to finally install it, let's play some co-op, shall we?
But these PSN break downs are getting annoying...every other time a bigger online game launches or something like that, PSN seems to be down...and not even that. There's been several occasions during the last weeks where I wanted to play online and PSN was down or under maintenance. Since paying for online play on PS4 is mandatory, Sony really has to get their youknowwhat together. Say about Microsoft what you want, but Xbox Live just works fine about 95% of the time...and the maintenance intervals are much further apart.
Especially since Sony bought Gaikai one would assume that they have the server grunt in the background to handle PSN fine. I really hope this gets sorted out soon, because this is getting unacceptable.
Nearly 2 hrs and i still haven't got to play my pre loaded beta its a disgrace, im fuming. PSN is DUNG compared XBL. Infact Microsoft make a laughing stock out of sony with their live service.
Sony and bungie can stick my pre order up their respective **** corporate arses!! Get your act together!!
Once again something that won't get fixed until Sony is taken to task. If this was XBL, or God forbid Nintendo, the journalists wouldn't shut up about it, yet excuses roll in for Sony. Enough of the bs, we get charged $50 a year, better should be expected and if it's not delivered the suits should be grilled.

You jinxed it! XBL is down as well.

I'm so up for the clan. I love this game already...and the beta looks much better than the alpha...boy, is this game gorgeous looking!
The gameplay is great very impressed, but i was underwhelmed by the visuals myself, they're (in beta state) far from gorgeous IMO, It Doesn't look as good as BF4 on ps4 and Killzone SF spanks destinys graphics with ease! But the graphics are still quite good. And most importantly the gameplay is stunning. Love it!!
By the time i downloaded it, installed it and patched it: i think it was close to 10pm. Played for roughly an hour and at level 3, it has elements of Borderlands in it.

After doing the first mission and exploring the city and getting some cool items. This is is absolutely gorgeous and amazing, I just love it. Bungie sure made an awesome game that can greatly be expanded. Sometimes I feel it has a starwars atmosphere to it with a touch of borderlands and stuff like that. I am actually in a good mood after playing this game, it's freakin awesome. O.O

I apologize to all XBL gamers, but if PS guys have to suffer then so do they. Honestly though, I never had a problem with XBL in all the years I've used it. Maybe my PlayStation consoles just don't like my internet provider, I don't know... Vita works great but PSP and PS3 were always f'ing up.
I probably won't be able to play this until sometime tomorrow, but just want to know if you can turn off invites and the like in this game? I really don't want random people joining me when I'm trying to enjoy a single player experience and have them ruin the whole thing like happened constantly in Crackdown 2, I hated that game because of it.

While I agree that it absolutely sucks, let's not forget that Xbox Live was down for a while last night, too.
Fingers crossed things get back to normal for everyone today, because this really isn't good enough.
Just to be clear: all issues with PSN aside, the game itself is fantastic, even in beta. Whereas @Davros79 is correct that there might be better looking games out there, I absolutely love the atmosphere and art style of the game. And, as was already clear in the alpha, Bungie just effin' nailed the gameplay. Control, speed of movement, just everything. Didn't have to tweak anything with the controls other than inverting the y-axis. Everything just felt right and tight from the beginning. Awesome. September can't come quickly enough.
I'm still waiting on my in-game installation to finish.. Been at it for about an hour and it's only at 52%.. Wish it would hurry up!
I was surprised, the Beta downloaded really quick from the PS Store once I finally had access to it but then the installation took longer than I expected. Still, the wait was worth it. If you enjoyed any of the Bungie-made Halos and the Borderlands series you should like this. I only played two story missions, solo, but had a blast.
@Gamer83 Yeah, the game definitely has that Bungie/Halo feel, gameplay- and control-wise...and that's very high praise. The Halo games are my favorite console-shooters...maybe Destiny will take that place, eventually.

I should probably wait until the full game is released before saying this, but I feel fairly confident Destiny could replace Halo or at least be a game I go back to as much, and that hasn't been the case with other FPS the past few gens. I've played some CoD here and there, tried Battlefield, even Killzone 2 and 3, which I loved, couldn't stand up to Halo, but Destiny seems like it will. If nothing else, it's going to be the shooter I play the most until Halo 5 is out unless CoD: Advanced Warfare surprises me the way MW 1 did.
