Ok this game has caught my attention but I have never played the first two. What is the whole story behind this game? Is it just an open world game where you can do whatever you want? Or is there an actually story to it like GTA V?

There's definitely a story, but this is a brand new narrative, so you don't need any experience with the previous entries. It shares similarities with Grand Theft Auto in that you explore an open world completing missions, but it doesn't really play like GTA -- it's more go from A-to-B shooting everything that you see. (Well, unless you're playing as a good guy, where you obviously won't want to kill civillians.)

Ah ok. Guess I will check it out when I get the extra cash.

If you enjoy superhero type games you'll definitely want to check this out at some point. But like Sammy said, best not to go in expecting GTA, you'll be disappointed. I love the inFamous games, but GTA is on a much higher level.
@Gamer83: Nah I wasn't expecting another GTA so no worries there. I was just wondering mainly if there was a central storyline to that game that's all. Thanks for the heads up though man.

On the one hand, I lost that bet, considering what most publications are giving it, on the other hand, it still sounds like the best game on the PS4.
It's not at all the best game on PS4. I'm not even sure if it's the best looking. Perhaps it's just not as striking as Killzone or ACIV though.
Environmentally it is very detailed, but Seattle's pretty samey.
The audio is top notch, and the custom profile for the Pulse headset works brilliantly.
There's a valid argument brewing in me saying that it's boring. But I need more time with it. The story is interesting enough, and Delsin's an engaging character. Not a patch on Tomb Raider or ACIV yet though.

Just curious - how do you load the custom profile for it? I started the game yesterday with my pulse headset, and it sounded good...but I didn't change any settings. Is there a spot or app for that?
The companion app is on the PSN store. You can connect you headset with mini usb and swap out and change the order of the different profiles. The app updated yesterday with the 'Second Son' profile.
The sound generation of separate objects in the game is really excellent!

I meant in my opinion, but I'm only coming off a gut feeling. Granted, my gut feelings are usually right.
I haven't played Assassin's Creed IV, but that series from my experience is only fun outside the main story, and it sounds like that's especially true in this installment.
I haven't played Tomb Raider, but I don't want to. Everything I've seen and heard about that game makes it seem more like the embodiment of everything wrong with modern AAA gaming...
Really, it's all just a feeling about what I think my overall opinion may be, but I know myself well and I've learned to trust those feelings.

It's good, don't get me wrong. And I'm enjoying it more the further in to it I go, but it's certainly no 'better' than either AC or Tomb Raider.

For me it is the best looking game, especially at night. Its the most fun and playable. It also has the most interesting and best acted story of anything on PS4.
Its the first Infamous game Im playing and so far I'm loving it. The sense of empowerement and it definitely "smells like teen spirit" Delsin might be a bit "hipster" at times but I really like him and can identify with him. Also I found I nice easteregg that made me chuckle!
