With the PS4 less then two months away I figured now would be a good time to ask what games I should pick up for this. On top of that I figure we can also use this so we don't have a bunch of what games should I get for the PS 4 threads.

Anyway I have Assassin's Creed IV on preorder and will be getting that on launch day with my PS4 but I am wondering since I haven't bought anything PS related since the PS2 I was wondering what other games would be good to get on launch day. I am open to any suggestions whether its on the PSN or a retail game.

Thanks in advance.

Its a bit hard to recommend a game that its not even out.
So just wait for the reviews or judge the games by their gameplay trailers.

I've got a PS4 and infamous:Second Son pre-ordered. None of the launch day games really appeal to me enough to buy.

@Epic:  Thats true, I wasn't sure if some games were part of a series that was on PS3 or something.  Just thought I would ask.

I'm looking forward to Killzone 4. They've only gotten better since the first one, imo, so I have high expectations for Shadow Fall

Killzone Shadow Fall should be awesome, that series keeps improving. KZ2 was great, 3 was very good and Mercenary on Vita is excellent, easily as good as many console FPS. Watch_Dogs is supposed to be 'best' on PS4 and I definitely recommend a PS Plus membership.

Warframe is free to play and it'll be available (supposedly) on day one. It's a great game on PC, so it should definitely be something to try at launch.

Ok I am looking for something with off line co-op that my son and I can play together.  I have Injustice, and I was also thinking of maybe Madden 25, or NBA Live.  What other games out there either on PSN or disc that has a off line multiplayer mode?  Not really big on genre we will play just about anything, FPS, sports, fighting etc.  I am just looking for something.

Okay just one more. I think there's an indie game coming out later this month called tiny brains, and I believe that is supposed to be local co op up to 4 players. That's about as much as I can think of off the top of my head.

I hate to recommend it because I think EA is the most despicable company in the industry but NFS Rivals is getting good reviews and from what I'm hearing from friends it's actually a really strong racing game. If you're somebody disappointed by Drive Club's delay, you may want to check Rivals out.

I haven't truely enjoyed a COD game since 4, but I'm gonna have to say there is most definitely something about ghost that has me excited every time I boot it up.

Ok so I am jonesing for a sports game and I narrowed it down to a basketball game problem is I am having a hard time trying to figure out which one.

I use to play the Live series back in the late 90's to mid 2000's but I am not sure how much different this game is from those ones.  I am sure with the better technology they have these days that the games have changed alot for the older ones in the series.  Also the past two  years the Live games have been cancelled at the last minute for gameplay issues so I am kinda weary on them

As for 2K I have never played a 2K sports game before so this will be all new to me.  I have heard that they are better then the EA sports games like Live but then I have also heard they are not as good.

My main deciding factor is how easy are these games to pick up and play?  While I dont mind the technical side of plays and such I want a sports game where I can pick up and just relax playing while having a couple of beers.  I dont want to have to make manger decisions and get into the nitty gritty of running a team.  I dont mind if there is a separate manager mode in the game or if I can shut it off during the game.

So any suggestions?  As always my thanks to any and all suggestions.

On looks alone I'd pick 2k, Live looks pretty pathetic in comparison. Have a look in the IGN app, there's comparative video.
