@colonelkilgore @Diamond_Dog @render
Thanks guys! 😀

@render
If you were actually interested in it I would recommend the first one - Tesla vs Lovecraft - as the better game

@RogerRoger
I just have an affinity with em... Left stick moves, right stick shoots, gameplay simplicity. Think it's maybe a hark back to all the 10ps I wasted getting demolished on Robotron back in the day. And thanks.

@colonelkilgore
Yeah hadn't really been considering the numbers but think that might be the tenth this year, and considering the third months not yet done I am setting a rate that will be difficult to maintain.

@Sorteddan funnily enough (what with your love for all things twin-stickery) I just picked up Dead Nation (otherwise known as Dean Nation 😅) and Alienation this morning after what seems like years of me keeping an eye out for them in the sales.

Oh nice. I wish I was experiencing those two for the first time again! As you do seem to enjoy overcoming the difficult bits in your platinum quests I think you might get a kick out of the harder difficulties in Dead Nation. Alienation is a bit more arcadey but also a fantastic game.

@Sorteddan I’ll check it out. I’ve not really played too many twin stick shooters in my time but like the concept. It always seems like they should be played with two old school joysticks to get the most fun out of them 😀

@Diamond_Dog yeah, I was a bit anxious attempting them initially but it ended being my favourite experience of the whole game. So much fun!

#48 for Death's Door

A relatively easy one but there is quite a lot of post-credits faff to get the last trophies and the true ending (and mostly stuff that it pretty obtuse and tricky to find without a guide).

@Thrillho Congrats! I forgot to get the umbrella before starting so I probably won’t do the platinum.

Plumbing’s just Lego innit. Water Lego.

Trans rights are human rights.

Thrillho

@nessisonett Yeah, it's kind of sneaky to make the umbrella slightly missable and then lock a trophy behind it like that. I'm not sure I'd want to play the game twice to get that trophy. It does mean you don't have to bother for the "true" ending either if you're not fussed about the other trophies.

@Diamond_Dog It's a solid game and just a nice length for an in-between game.

@RogerRoger Well I won't be getting #49 anytime soon now I've just started Elden Ring..

@Thrillho
Nice one. is also on my wanted list if I can ever get my backlog below way too many.

@Thrillho Congrats. I really enjoyed that platinum and the game in general. I was lucky though to remember that someone had mentioned about the umbrella before starting. It definitely makes the game more challenging but still great fun 😀

Good work @Thrillho, I still have to find some time to play this myself... was one of the few games I've pre-ordered in the last few years.

@Sorteddan @colonelkilgore It’s certainly not a must play but was more than enjoyable enough.

@render I couldn’t remember if it was you that had already got the plat for it. The thing is, if you only use the umbrella then you have no idea how much easier it might be with a “proper” weapon! I also went heavily on upgrading the attack stat too which helped.

and number 114 just achieved for Lost in Random (PS5). Quite enjoyable and unique adventure with some humorous touches. Really relieved to see the plat pop though as I had to replay around 80% of it a second time after a trophy glitched first time around! However with putting the difficulty to easy and ignoring everything but essential quests I managed to do it in about5 hours in one sitting today.

Congrats @Sorteddan, that’s another indie I’ve picked up along the way actually. Picked it up without knowing much about it though… is it similar to anything else that I’d know?

@colonelkilgore
To be honest it is pretty unique, or at least it was to me. Fairly linear third person action-adventure type game (though I am aware that action -adventure as a category is so vague and all encompassing as to be almost meaningless -sorry!). The combat is like nothing I've heard of or played before and would probably be more confusing to explain than it is to understand when you play it. It's not particularly challenging on normal difficulty but some trophies are miserable and you probably wouldn't want to play through more than once.
Overall a nice diversion that does what it does well enough and doesn't overstay its welcome (as long as the trophy doesn't glitch like it did for me!!!).

@Sorteddan cool, sounds decent enough… though I’m still in the dark really. Nothing worse than a trophy glitch, still at least it was a pretty quick mop-up 👍

@Sorteddan Nice work 👍. Hopefully I’ll pick this up at some point as it sounds really interesting.
