@Cornaboyzzz good to know Fares’ previous efforts also stack up pretty well against It Takes Two. The missus (& I in fairness) really enjoyed that and she is already missing our weekend co-op sessions, so I’ll suggest A Way Out for sure. Well done on yet another shiney pal 👍.

Platinum #85 - Transistor - such a good game. A massive step up from Bastion for me… and I’m pretty excited for Pyre and Hades off of the back of it. As playable as anything I can remember playing of late!

Nice work @colonelkilgore
Good to hear it bettered Bastion!

@Cornaboyzzz
Nice. Out of intetest, what overall trophy level are you at? I'm at 469 and wondering how it scales.

@colonelkilgore
Biggest numbers on my friendslist are:
Level 825 with 693 plat (!!)
751 - 594
666 - 387
619 - 335

In case you cared.

@Sorteddan crazy mate… by the time I get anywhere near them figures (if ever…) I’ll be ready for the grave.

@colonelkilgore
I know. I haven't checked but imagine they're the proper trophy hunters who buy all the indie crap that can be done in an hour and then double down to get it on two platforms.

I also had a look at @RogerRoger numbers coz he appeared similar level to me but with around half the plats. So I guess level may be more to do with overall number of trophies with platinum weighting not as high as I've thought.

@Sorteddan we had a big discussion about this back last year as it goes… and we ended up thinking that while there is specific ‘weighting’ between each trophy type, that they all count to the overall player level. I can’t remember for sure but (at my level at least) I think it was something like:

Bronze = 2%
Silver = 4%
Gold = 10%
Platinum = 25%

(With the percents being the nudge you get through each level… so a Platinum would be worth like 12.1 Bronzes etc. if the figures were correct)

@Sorteddan @colonelkilgore each grade of trophy is worth a different number of points:

Bronze: 15
Silver: 30
Gold: 90
Platinum: 300

Then at each set of 100 levels requires a different number of points to get to the next level.

From level 0: 60 per level
From level 100: 90 per level
From level 200: 450 per level
From level 300: 900 per level
From level 400: 1350 per level
From level 500: 1800 per level
From level 600: 2250 per level
From level 700: 2700 per level
From level 800: 3150 per level
From level 900: 3600 per level

PSN caps at 999, but many trophy trackers will keep going. Some just repeat 3600 per level while others may continue the pattern of making each set of 100 levels take an extra 450 points.

Games with a platinum are usually around 1300 points, while games without are usually around 300 points. PS5 games without platinums are allowed to have much more than 300 points though, but most don't seem to take advantage of that.

Congrats on all the recent Plats guys! I've been a bit quiet recently but managed:

Back To The Future: The Game
The Secret of Monkey Island - I got every trophy but the speedrun one. I was close but it's no fun skipping all the cutscenes and gags just to get it. Probably going to do the second game soon to get ready for the recently announced sequel.

Meanwhile, the journey for the Death Stranding plat continues! Still loving the game.

Thanks guys !

@colonelkilgore I played it a while ago when I first bought my PS4 but I remember it was nice. Good job !

@Sorteddan I'm currently level 648 - 85%

@Milktastrophe so… as I have such and intensely interesting life, I decided to use your info to check how close I was on the percentage values I put in my post (as I’m currently 377, I’m using the 300’s scale)

Actual:
Bronze - 1.66
Silver - 3.33
Gold - 10
Platinum - 33.33

My guesstimate:
Bronze - 2
Silver - 4
Gold - 10
Platinum - 25

Was quite close there for Gold, Silver and Bronze… but a fair bit off on the Platinums in all honesty, but I’m good with them being worth even more than I’d guessed.

@ScarletSpidey @RogerRoger You aren’t wrong about some games not being suited to speed running. I can’t imagine that would be a lot of fun and sounds very much as bad as the one for The Last Guardian to reach the end of the game in less that 5 hours. Don’t know if you guys have played it but getting Trico to do what you ask it to is near impossible so doing it against a time limit was just not appealing.

I’m going to have to up my game as my trophy hunting has stalled a little since getting GT7. I’ve got Cyberpunk 2077 on the go though but that’s proving as slow going as I imagined. I could do with powering through a few small indies to get me back on track.

Aaaand I'm back already

#328 Lost in Random - This one caught my eye since day one, and the fact that it was added to EA Play was the perfect opportunity. It was pretty cool, the combat system is interesting and the design is very unique. I liked it but I think I was expecting a bit more though. Plat is easy and short, but there are a LOT of missable trophies to keep an eye on.

Death stranding took me something like 300 hrs to plat as I didn’t follow a guide which gave tips on how to speed things up lol. Fail!
