Topic: The Trophy Discussion Thread

Well, it took 85 hours across 6 months but I finally got the plat for Death Stranding. What an incredible journey. I loved every minute and the story was incredibly moving. If I had any tips, besides building roads and zip wires, it would be to make use of the droid deliveries. As you make your way west, use them to deliver stuff back east so they can build up your star rankings even if they do a poor job. Then, by the time you're ready to do post-story stuff, all the missions they did will be back up to do anywhere. Would've saved me 5 hours easy if I'd started to do that earlier.

Now to find some much shorter games to play. HZW is a long way off being played now.

@Thrillho Thanks! I think I had the benefit of coming to it late, but I definitely could've shaved some time off. If anyone decides to go it, let me know and I can give some more tips.

@RogerRoger Congrats on those couple of plats. Did you get them both to the point of completion so you could get a double platinum chime within a minute? That would be sweet 😀

Well done @ScarletSpidey and really glad you enjoyed it. Some people (personal friends and acquaintances… not calling anyone here out 😉) just have some real solid blinkers/blinders on about this game and just seem to close their eyes, stick their fingers in their ears and sway their heads while repeating “lalalalalalalala” when I’ve tried to explain the virtues of giving the game a go. For such a great game, the premise and set up had a very strange impact on the general gaming populace.

Platinum #86 Outriders

@Splat nice, how was it? I’ve had mixed experiences with co-op 3rd Paterson shooter personally… absolutely loved Remnant from the Ashes but really struggled to get much enjoyment from The Division 2.

@colonelkilgore I mainly just played it solo. That said I think it's a solid 7 out of 10 kinda game. The story is kinda meh but I found the combat really enjoyable. The expansion is super short tho so was kinda disappointed I paid full price for it. You should be able to find the base game pretty cheap.

@Splat yeah I managed to get the base game for around £20 not long after release… maybe I’ll wait until a mate or two are gonna give it a go as these games do tend to improve with company.

#332 Hitman 3 - At last a platinum trophy in this trilogy ! I feel like I was playing this game for years now, since all three can be considered as one. This was honestly one of the most clever videogames I've ever experienced, and big congrats to IOI for creating the ultimate Hitman experience. I'll really miss Agent 47, but first there's a new map coming in a few days, so there will be One Last Tango.

@Cornaboyzzz congrats mate… and agreed that it is about time that the new Hitman games get a platinum! Almost a shame you didn’t fit a quickie-plat in just before popping this one as it would’ve been quite apt for #333 😉

@colonelkilgore @JudgeDredd thanks guys. It wasn't that bad, I got a lot of it done when it released and only started having problems when the player base dried up and modes disappeared. But I found a boosting group not that long ago and got the rest of the character trophies (those can be really tricky to pull off successfully with randoms) and the last 14 wins needed.
