Topic: What Are Your PS4 New Year Resolutions?

I think we've got a New Year resolutions thread, but I was curious if you had any gaming resolutions - particularly on PS4? It might be to clear out your backlog, try a certain genre you're unfamiliar with, or earn a specific Trophy.

For me, I want to force myself to play at least another 20 hours of The Witcher 3 just to make sure I've given it a fair shake, finish up Metal Gear Solid V, and also play through Wolfenstein: The New Order and Murdered: Soul Suspect as I purchased both at launch and they're still sealed. I'd also quite like to play through Final Fantasy VII again, but I think that's probably ambitious on top of the others.

How about you?

i'm definitely going to try and clear up my backlog on PS4 and PS3, it's getting pretty BIG

as for trophies, i don't really give a fuss they don't do anything

Mine isn't ps4 related but rather Vita, I hoping to have cleared 10 games from my backlog on that system by this time next year

I want to force myself to buy Dark Souls 3 when its new rather than waiting for a sale, because the souls series has the nice community features with the in game notes, and I wanted to be part of the discovery rather than after everything is known.

I also want to finish all the DLC in the Handsome Collection and get to lvl cap... maybe plat the games.

I never make any resolutions cause I never keep them, lol. I guess mine would be to enjoy as many games as I can.

To get all the games i want on ps4 in 2016.

The backlog on my PS4 isn't that big fortunately. I've completed all the download titles I've bought and the only game I haven't touched is The Last of Us Remastered, because I want to finish the Uncharted Collection first. Hopefully I can catch up and avoid a backlog the size of what I have on my other systems.

Other than that, playing all the upcoming PS4 games I'm looking forward to of course.

I'm following a superb tip I read on here (I think, actually, by Sammy, from some What Are You Playing article months ago) - to give each game on my backlog (Steam sales and Humble Bundles included) 1 hour's time each - if they don't grab me, then they're gone.

Had a quick check of those I really want to try, and that was 38 games long. I need to prove to myself that I'll never finish Remember Me, Transistor, or Arkham Knight, etc. so I can finally move on.

Transistor is a really easy plat, FWIW, and I loved the game.

For me it is a combo goal. I want to repeat the 12 platinums for the year that I did as last year's goal, and try to get to 3000 trophies. I came into the year at 2241 so basically a little over 750 trophies for the year. At least there is an extra day since it's leap year!

Don't buy anything with EA's name on it.

For PS4 - I am going to try and experiment with more indie games. I have been a little rubbish at sticking to AAA titles.

Not part of the thread but my main resolution has to be to use my PS Vita more. I bought it for a holiday with the in-laws and picked up some great titles but I am just finding it hard to actually put the time into it. The PS4 takes most of my 'spare' time. So, I need to finished Borderlands 2, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout and some smaller titles like Home that have been sat on it for a months.

Also to save up for PS VR!

I think mine will be to play more games for myself, if that makes sense. Or maybe it's better to say, give myself more time to play games. Last year was crazy busy and, aside from reviewing games for Push Square, I didn't get much time to play.

I'm doing ok so far - I've been playing through the games I got for Christmas (namely the Uncharted collection, Battlefront and Just Cause 3) at a steady pace, and I've ordered Bayonetta 1 & 2 for Wii U to play as I've always wanted to play them but never got round to it. I know that's not for PS4, but I guess my resolution is more a general gaming one. Play more games for myself, like I used to.

For me its to play the games that made 2015 so great I still haven't played The Witcher, Life is Strange, Batman Arkham Knight, Uncharted Collection never had a last gen console so I have never played uncharted, MGS V, N++, The Order 1886, DBZ Xenoverse, Resedent Evil 1 remastered, there are a lot more from 2014 but I dint want to list too much so I only stuck with 2015 the problem with this list is that I have to buy the games now

For me is to finally buy one... planning on buying one in March as a B-day gift to myself

My resolution is to not play so many games and try to assemble some sort of happily functional social life. To be honest, I'd really like to -

I just broke my resolutions multiple times. It was to not buy any more games until I had atleast played the games I had once.

Try to clear all my backlog and to try new genres of games.
