@RogerRoger Oh yeah. I've never rage quit. I'd rather take a learning experience than succumb to frustration.

I thought the VR uprising would be a good time to try for the 10 online wins trophy

I think WipEout is more about feeling competent than ego. You can know a track back to front at all speeds, but still not do all that well in competition with actual other people.

I'm currently enjoying Ratchet and Clank after being initially disappointed in it. It's such a light-hearted and fun-oriented game.

@RogerRoger I've so much as tossed a controller. Can't be doing with it (ruining my own stuff, I really like my stuff)!

@KratosMD It picks up as far as action, but don’t be expecting hoards of enemies and epic boss fights. There are a couple pretty cool weapons toward the end. It is too bad you don’t get to use them as much as i would have liked. Still, you gotta appreciate that great setting and the beautiful graphics. I really like Galahad too.

Right now I'm revisiting Raiders of the Broken Planet, which released last September...they just did a HUGE update that re-balanced the 4v1 mode (the meat & potatoes of the game) so that it isn't rage inducing anymore. Until now, this game had the dubious honor of being the ONLY game I've played in the last decade to make me wanna scream my lungs out and throw my controller across the room. At present, it's the way it always shoulda been!

Game has a "free" component to it if y'all wanna check it out. Cool characters, great graphics, fun gameplay (with an unorthodox control scheme that is extremely uncomfortable at first)...give it a shot!

Make it a great day!

Started Mad Max tonight.
Solid, fun game so far. The story and characters are already far outpacing Fury Road by an order of magnitude.

@KALofKRYPTON Me too but i got distracted by the football.

I loved fury road so it has big boots to fill.

@JohnnyShoulder I stopped watching Fury Road after 30 minutes the first time around. Boring and devoid of anything even slightly endearing.

I tried again once it hit Netflix and made it though to the end. Fantastic spectacle with all of the carnage - but utterly hollow and a very poor excuse for a Mad Max film. The Road Warrior is one of my favourite films, so Fury Road really had a lot of work to do.
I'm really not a Tom Hardy fan, but even with that terrible casting - he may as well not have been in it. It's a shame Miller sidelined Max, but hey...

The game though - pretty good I must say. I do wonder though how many people chose anything other than the Falcon body for the Magnum Opus!

@Kidfried There's a lot of Fury Road in there - Warboys, Gastown and such; but it all feels good as a game so far and with video game Max already having had about 1000 times the dialogue of Tom Hardy - we are off to a good start.

Not to be too spoilery - but the core of the game is a relatively predictable 3rd person action mission structure (which is fine) but with the ultimate goal apparently making Max look like The Road Warrior and making your car look like the V8 Interceptor! Good times!

I’m a little late to the party, but between consuming blood vials In Yharnam, I’ve offset my PS4 time with swimming through mysterious ocean waters in Abzu. It’s pretty much what I expected — a Flower or Journey type of experience, with a lot of orchestral music symphonized with visual spectacle. Instead of pastures and blooming flowers and wind, you get jet streams and releasing pod of varieties of fish. I’m about 2 hours into it and there is no dialog or verbal communication, the ideas and “plot” are just showcased through visuals and music. It is a simple game, no combat so far or enemies per se. Hidden collectibles are scattered to encourage exploration.
Overall it’s a nice distraction. If it weren’t for the fact that Flower and Journey already trailblazed the idea, it would have been more impressive. But as it stands, it doesn’t carry quite the wonder and awe that I think it was shooting for, imo. ...Still, at least I get a break from seeing “You Died” written in blood, set to the sounds of screeching and wailing of the demented.

@Th3solution Interesting. Can't say I'd ever considered Abzu.

I enjoyed what I played of Bloddborne on release - but really didn't feel compelled to carry on playing it after about 5 hours or so. Shame, good game - just didn't do it for me.

Alien: Isolation. Anyone else got it?

@KALofKRYPTON If you enjoyed Flower, then Abzu would be worthwhile. It was free on PS Plus a couple months ago, so I can’t complain. As for Bloodborne, I am continuing to really enjoy it, but I’ve been playing for a month now and still feel like I have so far to go. The game really is huge. I’m still enjoying it, but I’m getting slightly anxious to see some story progression. It’s mostly my own fault though for grinding too much and doing all the optional areas. It’s the same issue I have with all open world titles where I spend too much time in side quests so I burn out on the game before seeing the end sometimes.

@draco-n-eliptic1 Not got it, but have completed it. I thought it was awesome but i am a huge Alien/s fan. It did slightly drag towards the end but it gets a 9/10 from me.

This was one of the games that made me stop going to sites like ign and gamespot for reviews. Although i don't expect to agree all of the reviews all of the time, i felt they marked the game down too harshly. There were a few games i had similar promblems with, and the names escape me, but Alien Isolation stands out.

You enjoying it?

I did not enjoy Flower. If I'm need of a more 'Zen' experience I tend to jump in to a shmup of some description or a puzzler.

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, it is a really good game in all fairness, I don't understand why it was marked down so harshly either, it's not THAT difficult. I've just witnessed the scene where the android kills somebody whilst you're in the vent.

I am about 2/3rds through Ni No Kuni 2 I believe. Enjoying it so far, although it lacks some of the charm and polish or the original. City building is basically a mobile clicker, but a novel way of levelling up certain skills. Some great quality of life changes to the formula with auto equip for equipment where you can equip you fav characters with the best stuff and other characters who share the same type get the next best. Got interrupted with the Spring festival in Monster Hunter. Still not seen the credits, but grinding Nergigante in between completing critical bounties for tickets (slowly realising I will never have enough for all the time-limited armour etc due to holiday coming up).

I'm 379 hours into Final Fantasy XIV which is upsetting and radical in equal measure.
