@RogerRoger Seeing Tails carrying Knuckles through the air must be surreal. Don't expect anything too earth-shattering from that ending, I think it's just a tiny cut-scene or something!

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

God of War just finished installing onto PS4. Every other game will be put to the side as I play through this epic.

I got tempted last weekend and bought the Shadow of the Colossus remake, but now I'm kind of wishing I'd saved the money for God Of War...
That said, the SotC remake is a masterpiece. The game is even better than I remember it, it's making my Kratos envy easier to live with.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

Got Yakuza 6 this week, I'm about 6 hours in. I'm really liking the changes they've made, it feels more modern (in a positive way). To me a Yakuza game is all about stories and characters, and this feels just as good as the previous ones, if not better. It's a nice-looking game on the regular PS4 as well. In short, I'm over the Moon about this game, playing a new Yakuza game is like seeing an old friend.

@Kidfried Yeah I've played some of Mad Max. I've enjoyed what I've played of it too. Repetition has not set in but I can see some of the stuff like the liberating the camps could get a bit samey. But for me I always try vary what I'm doing when playing open world games.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@RogerRoger I beat Frozen Wilds...it was a fun addition, though it wasn't as story focused as I had hoped for. You do get to learn alot more about what specifically happened to cause the aggressive machines and such though. I won't say more due to spoilers.

As for Batman: Arkham Knight, I'm installing it now, hoping to start playing within the hour.

@RogerRoger Ratchet and Clank is actually surprisingly good isn’t it? I kinda dragged my feet to play it at a friend’s behest and actually quite enjoyed it. The game doesn’t hang around too long, is fairly well paced, not too difficult but has enough challenge to keep it engaging, has beautiful graphics, and just a fun factor that just comes naturally. And the sheepinator. It has a sheepinator. What more could you want?

@RogerRoger Wait did you just say “the first ever PS Plus game I’ve taken advantage of”?! I’m surprised that there hasn’t been at least a few Plus games you’ve at least tried. I play a small minority of them but there is 3-4 at least per year that I end up enjoying.

@RogerRoger @Th3solution You're correct, there was a PS3 HD trilogy of the first 3 R&C PS2 games. However there are also R&C PS3 exclusives you should play.

Playing Order:
1.) Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy/Collection (PS3)
2.) Ratchet: Deadlocked HD (PSN Exclusive)
3.) Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)
4.) Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty (PSN Exclusive)
5.) Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
6.) Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (PS3)

Spinoffs in Playing Order:
1.) Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (PSP/PS2)
2.) Secret Agent Clank (PSP/PS2)
3.) Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (PS3)
4.) Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (PS3)

@ToddlerNaruto That’s a good summary. I actually have played some R&C titles last gen. Tools of Destuction and A Crack in Time. Good games. But I liked the PS4 reboot better.

@RogerRoger That’s cool, I can understand that. I don’t try every single Plus offering like I’ve seen some people do, and then they end up with loads and loads of games on their list that were played for like 30 min. Evidently you can delete the title from your profile if you do it before you sync, I think. I don’t know, I’ve not ever tried to, but I have games on there I just have no affinity for and would just as soon they not be on there so I’m slightly compulsive about that too. But the Plus games are a nice opportunity to take a chance on something.
I am looking forward to try Rayman Legends also. I’ve never played any Rayman games.

So my wife finally convinced me to try the Sims 4 last night. Even she was alarmed at how quickly things went wrong.

For starters, I was determined not to conform to gender stereotypes so I sent the mother out to find a hobby. I settled on fishing and found her a nice spot by the river. Sadly, I didn't realise that you have to manually stop the Sim from performing the fishing activity, so she stayed there, fishing away happily, for the next fourteen hours.
The father was left to look after the baby boy. But by the time I found baby playing in the toilet bowl, I had decided that father was not up to the task. Instead, he invited in Johnny, a neighbour who happened to be walking past. Johnny seemed to be getting on well with father and baby, and grandad, and spent some time chatting with them. All was well, it seemed. But as he left, neighbour Johnny kicked their bin over, for no apparent reason. This made me furious, way more than it should have done. Why would Johnny do this? After we welcomed him into our home?
There was only one thing for it - get grandad to follow him. Grandad walked into Johnny's house, went straight over to the TV Johnny was watching and switched it off. This did not seem to bother Johnny. So grandad banged out a tune on his expensive-looking guitar in the corner, but this didn't register either. So grandad went outside and kicked over the bin. While Johnny was outside investigating the noise/drinking down a taste of his own medicine, grandad was stealing the lovely table lamp from Johnny's bedroom.
Happy that this was adequate revenge, grandad went home, just in time to attend the party that the father was throwing to meet all the new neighbours. The guests showed up and were all insulted by grandad, one by one. Johnny did not seem to notice the shiny new lamp which just hours earlier had been sitting on his bedside table. No-one took much notice of the very smelly, very hungry baby who was wandering around the house, either.
The father decided to cook some food to liven the party up, and the kitchen soon became the focus of the guests' attention, partly due to it being on fire. The father ran around like a madman, and at this point my real-life wife wrestled the dualshock from me, unable to watch any more.
I received a notification that my party had been a failure, just as the mother returned, stinking and exhausted, from her extended fishing trip and collapsed on the bench outside.

The Sims 4 is a great game, and I never want to play it again.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@RogerRoger Thanks, I'm just glad no-one died (apparently your Sims can actually die...)
I consider myself an experienced gamer, and a bit of a Soulsborne veteran, but this was hands down the most stressful game I have ever played.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

Tasuki

@Gremio108 I have yet to play Sims 4, I have played Sims 1, 3 and a few on consoles as well and can agree for such a simple game it can get quite stressful, especially when you play more then one Sim at a time. The biggest thing I find annoying is how fast time flows and how long it takes them to do the simplest tasks. Seriously it takes them like an hour to use the bathroom or even to wash one dinner plate.

I do wish though that Sims 4 had a spltscreen mode like the older console versions did.

@Tasuki Maybe they've slowed the time thing down now, because everything I described above took place over the course of about 24 hours. That said, I didn't bother washing or feeding my Sims, nor did I allow any of them to use the bathroom, so maybe the time is the same, I just spent it differently......?

Split screen sounds brilliant, that would be a right laugh

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@RogerRoger I don’t mess around with PSN profiles very much. But I would like to have the ability to reorganize a trophy and game list and how it appears to yourself and the public. It seems we should have more control over these things.
