@iamtylerdurden1 never played an Oddworld... and they don’t seem my cup of tea from what I’ve seen BUT I do like to vary up my ‘diet’ so I am considering buying Oddworld: New & Tasty (as it’s meant to be a shorter experience). Then if I like that, I could always fit Soulstorm into the schedule in the future when I fancy something different. Glad to hear someone is enjoying it.
Hitman 3, and I eliminated The Collector. He was the first brand new elusive target in this game. It took me a few goes to figure out how best to approach it, but I managed to succeed in the end. I got into a panic as I was making my escape since an enforcer nearly spotted me, but somehow I remained undetected and got the Silent Assassin ranking.
@nessisonett Nice, explosions are always a fun way of killing. I took the boring approach of knocking him out, snapping his neck, then hiding the body whilst everyone else was looking the other way. That was on a quiet corner of the top floor.
If you eliminated him in the greenhouse, then I guess you might have missed that he eventually goes to the bathroom to disguise himself as house staff, whilst ditching the bodyguard following him.
@crimsontadpoles Yeah, I followed him around for ages but couldn’t separate him from his bodyguard. I also haven’t played that level yet though, I’m replaying the first two games first.
@TheBrandedSwordsman hey buddy, think I’ve mentioned it before... but after you’ve beaten Lost Legacy and are feeling like playing a game ‘like’ Uncharted a few months down the line, don’t sleep on Uncharted 3. I know 2 gets all the plaudits but I personally enjoyed 3 just as much, if not a little bit more maybe.
@TheBrandedSwordsman Wait! You've not played any of other Uncharted games, and your asking what games to play which are like Uncharted 4?! 🤣 I just assumed you had played the previous 3 games.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
I too am playing The Lost Legacy but whilst I'm enjoying it it's also clear to me that it's a level below the main Uncharted games.
2 is probably the best but I had real issues with the final boss for some unknown reasons and it really ruined the experience for me lol.
4 is stunning and has a really good script as well as cool puzzles and environments. It also features the best set piece of the entire series.
1 is good but obviously dated, 3 is okay. It has its moments (young Drake, British pubs) but it doesn't compare well either to it's predecessor or the follow-up, at least imo.
I think the series should be left alone now but then again the same could be said of Tomb Raider and I'd be up for another adventure with Lara Croft.
@Col_McCafferty yeah that final boss in Uncharted 2 is annoying! I’m planning on going back through the whole series at some point (probably play 1 & 2 in 2022 and then 3, 4 & LL in 2023) to attempt all 5 plats. I’m already suffering some reflux from the thought of Lazarevic on Crushing difficulty.
@colonelkilgore@TraCuz-@Th3solution Still diving into the Lost Legacy, onto chapter 4 now, driving around, Chloe and Nadine make for great characters. How are your games going on PS4? Regarding what you said about UC1, colonel, yeah, for sure but even though it's dated it'll still be good to be able to say I've played every game in Naughty Dog's series of these games.
@TheBrandedSwordsman totally, you seem to really enjoy them so I would definitely try both 1 & 3 at some point if I were you.
Loving Remnant from the Ashes bud, I think it’s one that is enhanced by co-op play though so I’m not sure I would think as highly of it if I were playing alone. As it stands in co-op though, it’s a frikkin blast like.
@Col_McCafferty@colonelkilgore I hated that final boss in 2 so, so much. He just refuses to die. It was even worse seeing how it’s even difficult on a lower difficulty when my mum was playing it.
@TheBrandedSwordsman Playing Hitman on PS4 and still enjoy it a lot. It’s the most stealth-heavy gaming experience I’ve ever had though. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it requires a re-wire of my brain to not just go ‘Nathan Drake’ on the joint and execute hoards of people. 😂
My other PS4 games are The Outer Worlds, which I’ve fallen off of for now, and Persona 5, which is the game that seems to never end. I’m probably halfway through what I think is the final dungeon
