I started Life is Strange Before the Storm this weekend.
So far I really liking it, I’m just part way through episode 1 though, so it’s early. It has the whole LiS style and flair. I must say I am not a fan of Chloe’s new voice, despite people saying she was close enough to Ashly Burch. To me, not only does the voice of Rhiana DeVries sound different, but the acting skills are not nearly as good. Some of lines are delivered with little to no emotion, deadpan sounding like she’s reading a script for the first time.
Other than that, it is looking to be a good game, scratching that story driven game itch I needed.

@ToddlerNaruto It seems Rise of the TR is divisive, but I think it is actually a more evolved and deeper game than the first modern TR game. Yet, somehow I don’t think I’d call it “better” as a whole. Perhaps it’s because the first one was such a joy to experience for TR fans and a pleasant surprise. But Rise is larger and has more fleshed out gameplay. I quite enjoyed it.
What do you think of the new voice of Chloe Price? Am I being too critical when I say it is kind of a let down?

Chloe's new voice is taking awhile to get used to, but sadly for legal reasons the original VA wasn't used.
Also thanks for that short review, will fire up Tomb Raider soon as I beat Platinum Demo: FFXV.
Finally got after restarting The Banner Saga (again) last night - just realised I've done myself out of a trophy... Not that I'm going to attempt a plat - but the I'm sure the decision will have ramifications!

@KratosMD Yeah if you are having fun playing something sometimes it's good to carry on playing it, rather than moving on. It's good to set rules and have a plan, but it's also good not to be regimented in your approach (not saying you are btw just speaking generally).

A bit late to the party, I started Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice over the weekend. It has a good story so far and the audio effects are superb but the first couple of levels are a bit repetitive on the mechanics used, which is taking a little of the enjoyment out of it and also harming the flow of the game. I hope going forward that they don't over rely on the same mechanics as the first two levels.
The fighting is a bit difficult but I like that the voices give you a bit of help when you are surrounded and I think I'm starting to get a handle on it.
So far a good game.
Had eight runs this evening and took a while to beat the first elite enemy. Beat the bridge boss on my final run before finally being beaten. Good fun so far.
@JohnnyShoulder I probably had 90mins or so with it and got sucked in. I have definitely learnt that shields aren't worth it though, particularly as I kept forgetting it was mapped to triangle rather than a shoulder button..
@Kidfried@KratosMD@RogerRoger Oh yes! MGSV TPP is brilliant. I played the game fairly slowly as well. Took a lot of time extracting soldiers and building Mother Base, and building my relationships with buddies. Man, reading this is making me want to play the game again too! And I’m trying not to let loose on any spoilers, but there is just so much exciting goodness yet to come.

I'm in love with Arkane Studio... I'm playing Prey only now for the first time and even if the things in common with Dishonored are maybe too many I'm loving every pixel of Talos.
Played the PES 2019 demo and damn it after only one game I might be sold on it. Plays so god darn good! Think they have made dribbling a bit easier, as someone like Mo Salah you can nip and tuck past the opposition like he does in real life.

I’ve been playing Dragon’s Dogma, and I love it. The sense of adventure it great, and in a way I haven’t felt in ahem before. The combat is pretty awesome. I’m playing as a Strider and now assassin. It’s a pretty cool class. I like the dagger, dodging, and bow combo. I’m also getting more interestin the story, even the dialogue and voice acting is t always great, I love it for some reason. It reminds of old PS2 games in the best way possible. I hope they keep the old English if they make a sequel. It feels like game that according to the laws of the universe, must exist. And because it does, the sun will keep rising. Thank you Capcom, for keeping us from dying.
