@Thrillho What can I say? Trying to kill Thunderjaws using only rocks takes a while.

Since Saturday ive been playing around in WWE 2K22 the whole time. Just chose the heel path in the male CAW MyRise last night.

the female caw Myrise is pretty fun but being on Raw and fueding with sasha banks got boring so i redid the whole thing and joined NXT or Smackdown and now at the part with the Royal Rumble.

anyone know a way to get more than 100 VC from a match in order to unlock the regular in game extra wrestlers etc?

Bluefield

Immortals Fenyx Rising. It's OK, not the best game, a lot of the challenge 'vaults' are excessively difficult and it uses the same engine as Assassin's Creed so some elements are basically the same as Odyssey.

@Bluefield IFR was one of my main lockdown games (played it mainly handheld, on Switch).

Actually really enjoyed it! I've never really played much AC, so a lot of Immortals was fairly 'fresh' for me.... although of course there are heavy influences from BOTW as well, which is not a bad thing!

Started playing Assassin's Creed Origins yesterday and man, I've really missed playing AC. I absolutely loved Odyssey and I'm really liking Origins thus far as well. It feels weird though coming from Odyssey as you have a shield in Origins and instead of armour, you can upgrade your health among other stats. Not to mention that the skill tree is more traditional compared to the one in Odyssey. However, I do feel like Origins is more stealth-focused as the missions are more stealth-oriented and you even get things like a predator bow early on, of which you can view through in first-person which makes killing enemies quick and quiet. I mean, I never used a bow in Odyssey because of the supernatural abilities you have but I'm definitely going to be using one in Origins.

Also nice to be exploring another warm and exotic setting again. I'll have to enjoy it as much as I can before I get to the much colder climate in Valhalla.

Been playing The Ascent. It’s pretty good, but I’m annoyed because I bought it to play co-op with my brother, but the multiplayer isn’t cross gen. I dunno why some developers choose to not include cross gen compatibility. I had the same problem with Dying Light 2.

I started Arkham Knight for the first time, which is one weird game. Structurally, it’s ambitious for sure but I’m not quite sure what they’re going for. I guess it’s supposed to really be an actual representation of Batman’s daily grind but it’s about 60% smashing into walls in the Batmobile.

Currently going through Bloodborne again, this time for the Platinum, this is the only from software game I have played before and I really enjoyed it first time round although now I'm following a guide I clearly had no idea what I was doing last time. I played it almost completely blind last time around and now I've realised I've missed 3 bosses, alot of shortcuts and extra weapons/gear. There was so much I didn't know lol the guide has me flying through it and I'm about 6 trophies shy of the plat so hopefully not too long. Its definitely giving me the bug for more though so definitely looking forward to Demon Soul's and Elden Ring now.

It would be a big achievement for me really as I only Platinum games I really enjoy.

Also playing Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition, about half way through and once I've finished Bloodborne I'll fully jump into this again.

I tried the Spongebob game from PS Plus but it didn't blow me away. I might give it another try (like make it to a boss fight or something) but probably won't stick with it.

Started the Sega Megadrive Classics collection today… and it’s pretty cool. As a guys whose teenage years were dominated by the Megadrive it was awesome. I’d begun gearing up for the Saturn (which I promptly returned for a PlayStation) by the time some of the games were released, so it was nice to get a chance to play the treasure games for instance.

The whole, teenagers bedroom vibe when selecting the games from the collection was a really nice touch too I thought. A really cool day filled with nostalgia.

@Bentleyma I didn't know they added VR support - a room with a virtual retro console and CRT sounds pretty cool. I've just ordered a copy - thanks for the heads up!

Nobody told me Arkham Knight was a spiritual successor to 007 Racing on the PS1 😂

@nessisonett I thought the generous (to be generous) helpings of Batmobile sections in that game were notorious at this point? I didn't mind them at first but talk about over-egging the pudding. With the news of the "Max Payne" remakes, I started up "Max Payne 3" on the PS3 for the first time since forever. What a great game.

@LN78 I really enjoyed my time with Max Payne 3. I'm a bit indifferent if there were to be a remaster though. And I wonder if there is found to be a new game, will it be the style of the first two game, the third one, or something new entirely.

I'm one of the weird ones that didn't mind the batmobile sections in Arkham Knight @nessisonett. At the start it was a bit of a pain, but once I upgraded it a load, I didn't find it too bad. Plus I thought the Firefly sections were brilliant.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

@JohnnyShoulder I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm definitely going to get back to it later on. I really want to watch Ken Burns' Muhammed Ali documentary series today.

@RogerRoger About 90% of the game so far has been driving about shooting things in the Batmobile! I actually quite enjoy the vehicle combat as it’s a throwback to the early 00s in many ways but it’s quite jarring. There’s something specifically about the way you shoot a disrupter at the thugs’ cars by driving close behind them until it’s fully charged that really reminds me of 007 Racing and the car bits in games like Nightfire.
