After what happened at Gamescon now I'm scared that Microsoft would announce exclusivity over Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Hearts 3 or something like that and deal the fatal blow to Sony.
They're 2-for-2 so far, why not go for the sweep? I don't know if MS lands FF or KH (though given the scumbag idiots running SE it's possible), but I could see some kind of deal with Capcom for RE 7. As much as people rag on that series, it'd still be pretty big in Japan.
They'll have to spend a lot of money. I'd say it's highly unlikely that they'll do that.
Did we not just have that announcement yesterday? Their pockets are a lot deeper than you give them credit for. Anything is possible. It would be funny because Sony have used those games in promotional material. Will they win TGS? Well they have to try like they did with 360? Which was moneyhats as well. But the One won't be a success story.
"They played us like a damn fiddle!" - MGS5
"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA
Currently Playing: The Phantom Pain.

Microsoft does have deep pockets, for sure, but the Xbox division isn't going to get away with blowing millions upon millions of dollars just to prevent mutliformat games releasing on other machines. I mean, you're right, it could happen. It's unlikely, though, innit.
I'm sorry but Microsoft did not win gamescom because of Tomb Raider. Silly people say Microsoft won gamescom because they like being silly and that's just all there is to it. Sony had variety in their show with a lot of awesome games.

They didn't even show a new trailer of it!
They didn't have to the message was they're willing to flash the cash and big publishers are willing to accept the cash.
The PS4 just passed 10 million units since November. I hope the XBox One has a solid life cycle, and I hope the same for the Wii U (doesn't look as promising) as well. I think it's great for everyone when all the gaming systems are successful, and I'm glad Microsoft isn't going to lay down and get dominated.
That being said, Sony is going to be just fine. There will be PLENTY of great Sony stuff in the future. It's absolutely hilarious how much people are overreacting over this Rise of Tomb Raider stuff. LOL
No. Tomb Raider is not an exclusive. I really think Sony has a lot in store for TGS. How can anyone really say Sony lost gamescom after showing Wild, Bloodborne, Rime, and DayZ??
I doubt Microsoft will win TGS. They do seem to have the support of MAGES in Japan as they have a few games prepped for the launch of XboxOne there, but I still think theres stuff from Sony to come there. We've already seen announcements from Japanese devs with releases incoming from the likes of Compile Heart, Tamsoft, Sandlot, Nippon Ichi etc so the smaller studios in Japan are already on board with Ps4. All Sony have to do is ensure we get gameplay footage of the Ps4 Earth Defense Force that Sandlot announced at last years TGS & it will be in the bag.
Yeah, I think we'll wait and see how well the Xbox One does when it launches in Japan first. I honestly don't think Microsoft will get anywhere in Japan, much like last gen. It'd take a miracle.
In my personal opinion (and please do not beat me down for this) Sony is saving all the heavy hitters like, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, and The Last Guardian because these are the games the "Japanese" people play the most. Plus they have not talked about these 3 games all year, so have been keeping them in secret from us and personal I think it is smart... maybe it is just me
^Agreed. They have said repeatedly that they want to win the hearts of the Japanese fanbase. How do you do that? By saving all of your Japanese heavy hitting titles for the home conference. Expect to see Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Would love to see Last Guardian but I doubt it. I also expect some sort of surprise. Maybe a Dragon Quest PS4 announcement? Possible FF7 full remake? One could only wish. :')

exactly, it's just grasping at straws that some people are doing, it doesn't work.
As for TGS, Sony will definitely win that one as well, Sony won Gamescom and those that deny it are just eating sour grapes is all Sony will also win TGS.

It's also worth mentioning that Microsoft bought numerous Japanese 360 exclusives during its lifespan, and while each title gave the system a boost in the region, none of them were enough to actually put the 360 in a decent position. Don't see why it'd be any different for the Xbox One at this juncture.
