Topic: Can't play the game i Own?

yo guys i got a little problem, i have the uncharted 4 ps4 version on disk. Long ago i spent 10 euro or something to upgrade it to the ps5 version. Ive heard when ur subscribed to plus u can add the game to ur library and play it w/o a disk, thats what i did and it worked. Now my subscription ran out and i dont wanna renew it just now, when i click on the ps5 version of uncharted that has always worked before with or w/o the subscription it tells me to put in the right disk and i can only play the ps4 version.
is there any trick to get it working again?

I am assuming you were subscribed to Playstation Plus Extra or higher in which case, you had access to the digital version of Uncharted 4 from the Legacy of Thieves collection, thus you lost access to the disc-free version since you didn't resubscribe. When you subscribe to Playstation Plus Extra, you are granted access to a library of games, no upgrade purchase required but since you are no longer subscribed, you do not have access to that library. Subscribing to any tier of Playstation Plus does not grant you disc-free version of your games. All games in the Playstation Plus Extra catalogue are disc-free because they are strictly digital versions. Since you bought the upgrade before subscribing to Playstation Plus Extra or higher, you should have access to the PS5 version but you will be required to insert your Uncharted 4 for PS4 disc everytime to play. If you are still not able to play your game, you will have to contact Playstation Support from your region. It is possible it could be an issue from Sony's end, perhaps an overlap issue between the versions on PS+ Extra and the upgrade version preventing you from playing the PS5 version.

thanks for taking ur time to help, even when i have the disc inserted im only able to play the ps4 version of the game while (it says, please insert the right disc) i have 20hours or so into the ps5 version because of the update i bought, which now is not starting anymore. maybe i will contact sony customer service sooner or later but i plan to subscribe again anways, just wanted to make sure its not me being too dumb to figure it out and there's more ppl having that issue.

if u have a game on disk installed and thats in for example the plus tier u can just click download it and u hav it almost instantly since u already installed the disc version and then u can start it without the disc, as long as u are subscribed, atleast that's what i understood and im sure it worked for me when i was still subscribed

I don't quite understand your issue. But if you're 100% sure you should have access to something and you don't, you could try restoring licenses.

It's basically a refresh on your purchases, nothing is deleted. It fixes similar errors

@Kanji-Tatsumi i bought uncharted 4 for ps4, spend 10 euro upgrading it to ps5, been playing the ps5 version since then, now i had ps extra, clicked on download the game, could play it w/o the discs, ps extra ran out, the ps5 version does not start anymore i can only choose the ps4 version or it says wrong disc inserted

@ReacH Have you tried launching the game from your Library?
I have a similar situation with Resident Evil 7, I have it on disc but also as a PS+ game (when it was in the game collection) and when I try to launch it from the Library it gives me 3 options before starting the game.
Just a thought.
