Has anyone had a definitive experience with what is causing the hard crashing of the ps5?

I am having a hard time determining if it is Spiderman mm/remaster issues or an issue with the external hdd.

I have seen reports of both things causing the crash, and I have resorted to unplugging my hdd and not using rest mode.

Just wondering if anyone has gotten a definitive answer from Sony on this?
