So I returned to Redmane Castle to clear a boss that I was struggling with earlier and the place is completely different. The boss is no longer there, nor are the enemies and doors are all locked. Hmmm

So morals aside isn’t it most efficient to kill all merchants? That way you have access to their goods all from the roundtable.

@Jimmer-jammer I was stuck on that stupid fight for hours. Primarily the Crucible Knight portion, since the Misbegotten Warrior staggers easily and can be wiped out before the other boss appears. The fight disappears when certain conditions are met, but I wasn't going to let the game get the better of me. I'm too prideful for that.

I’m a little frustrated that I’ve seemed to outlevel the game. Godrick was trivial. The lichdragon too. I didn’t try to, just explored too much I guess.
The crucible knights are still super hard tho wtf.
@velio84@Ralizah ahh, that makes sense. So it should go back after I defeat Radahn then? Yeah, I was pretty under leveled for that fight when I initially encountered it but thought I would give it a go again. Instead I found Radahn, who is no joke! I finally met Alexander the talking pot though at the festival who I’ve somehow missed until now 😄

@velio84 I actually really enjoyed the dual boss fight! Remarkably did this first try... but Radahn took me about 2 days of play on & off, the hardest by a long shot for me.
For those who have beaten Radahn.. has anyone gone back to the battle-ground and found the cave to the North East of the gracepoint? Some good loot, but enemies there are wrecking me
@CJD87
Oh good to know I thought it was completely empty. 👍🏻
Been too busy doing Ranni quests and with the eternal cities and all the pathways they branch out too. Found an ant nest that gives 4/5 rune arcs. (Edit or actually bees I think ha)
Still gathering flowers and cooking magic mushrooms at camp fires for no reason because I don’t even bother with crafting. 🤷🏼♂️
The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.

I enjoyed the gargoyles then after the coffin there are some tough guys and the ever annoying curse things from DS. Phantom Blaidd kicked my @ss I need go back to him. I liked the divine tower twist.
There are so many other lines and stuff to do so it’s often matter of choosing what to do and then get distracted into other tracks 😅

Really like the section on the Academy roof tops. Classic FromSoftware level design. That Knight guarding the boss can GTFO though, with his one hit kills when you guard counter him.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
I made loads of progress on this yesterday, but I've hit two different walls so I've been looking for other directions to go in to hopefully beef up before going back and trying again. There's two bosses in the snowy bit that I keep struggling with - one I think I can do but just need to keep trying at, the other one I think I need to level up a bit first.
But I took down another few bosses, and visited areas I've never even seen before which has been good. I also finished off a couple of the major questlines. I've been checking in with a guide now and then for the quests to make sure I'm not doing anything mad, but I'm playing the game basically just by wandering about and I'm still loving it. 90 hours in now.
I haven't had a lot of time to play over the weekend but I'm making steady progress. I'd not actually been using the summons at all but finally caved and realised how much easier it makes things. Two boss fights that I was struggling with a little bit were trivialised using the wolves and I've since done a few more first time as well.
I have started to notice some reuse in some sections of the games, especially around any tunnel sections. I've walked into a few and the layout has been so familiar I've honestly thought I'd already been there on a previous occasion. Also perhaps it's just me and I'm not paying enough attention but I'm finding NPCs perhaps a little bit too vague. Like I got to Ranni's Rise and started the quest with her where you choose to serve her and she basically tells you to go talk to the three below for more information. You then talk to them and they pretty much give you nothing. Thanks guys!
@velio84
Yes it’s after the gargoyles and sleeping in a coffin opens a new area 😃. Some climbing with Torrent and they don’t give smithing stones but rune Arcs. I don’t think that respawn though.
I got that annoying npc from the tower shooting arrows much easier than running after it.
(The big boy at the top was tough though)

@velio84
Yes!
I saw him coming and thought ‘oh I should be fine, looks alright’. And then he starts doing his weird fatty attacks haha

Well I'm back to playing after a week off for hols and straight away beat a boss in liurna tunnel that afterwards, leads to an npc in a shack who gave me a new spirit summons. I've then found caria Manor and am digging around there. There was a giant anvil and weapons pile on the way in but no npc at it. Anyone managed to get an npc there? Also I found a real illusory wall on the way to the grace point by the anvil, I has given up on those messages being a troll thing from the community, I'm going to have to go back to hitting every wall again 😂
