Thrillho

After beating Stormveil I've been back to defeat a load of mini bosses that I struggled with before. Breezed past the horseback dude right next to where you start. Then I found Braidd and took down the enemy in the prison with him before heading back over to the Weeping Peninsula to clear some catacomb enemies I struggled with, beat the black knight fella and Deathbird near the castle, and then cleared the castle and boss too. Just beat the Avatar at the Erdtree in that area to finish. A pretty productive couple of hours!

I think the questline in the castle with Edgar and Irinia glitched though as I found her dead when I went back (I got the letter before) and Edgar is nowhere to be found.

This is my current build, double scythes! Spent a couple of hours doing some invasions yesterday, quite entertaining. Currently about level 84, I think.

@Thrillho Have you tried resting at the nearest grace, and then going back to the body? I think that might have happened to me.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@Thrillho that happened to me to and haven't found Edgar again but did find another character similar to Irinia the other side of stormveil in liurna.

@Thrillho This happened to me as well! Be sure to thoroughly explore the western region of Liurnia of the Lakes.

@JohnnyShoulder I tried resting, teleporting and all sorts without success.

@Kairu I’ve been back to the body a few times with nothing there.

@R1spam @Jimmer-jammer I went there after beating Godrick and on the wiki it seems lots of people had the same problem so I don’t know if you did the same?

Looking on the wiki it doesn’t seem I’ll miss much from not getting this quest finished though.

Just started it today, played about 2 hours so far. Took alot of convincing that I should get it and I have very much enjoyed it so far but ofcourse the enemies are fairly lightweight at the moment. Who knows how I'll feel about it in another 2 hours once I get into it a bit more.

Glad I got it though. Went for the Confessor , not sure if that was the best idea but I wanted to ensure I was able to use magic and melee effectively early on.

@Thrillho I've just looked and it might be that I killed the miniboss at the fort before I found Edgar. Doesn't look like I missed much.

@HMazzy111 a decent choice, I believe magic is and easier route. If you are leaning magic melee, moonviel katana is a beautiful thing. Goodluck!

Used the Unalloyed Gold Needle and found the ‘Desecrated Auric Vestige’. Really weird area, even by From Software’s standards. A large, circular array containing bizarre statues everywhere labeled John-117.

Oh I didn't realise the needle could be used, interesting.

@LieutenantFatman In reading your post, it has become apparent to me that I’m probably not the personality type that should be making an April fools joke 😂 With that said, and in all seriousness, the needle can be given to someone for them to use.

@Jimmer-jammer
Oh lol, I was not expecting anything April fools related, let my guard down as it's the afternoon.

I should probably continue exploring rather than doing constant invasions. Great fun when you get a win though.

@LieutenantFatman I’ve yet to invade anyone but have been playing a significant amount of co-op, something I don’t usually do with these games but have been really enjoying with this one. I have definitely been invaded a fair few times, though it’s usually a death sentence for me. What rewards do you get for a win?

“Reason is the natural order of truth; but imagination is the organ of meaning.” C.S. Lewis

LieutenantFatman

@Jimmer-jammer
Rewards are 1 rune arc (if that's what it's called) each time a host dies when in their world and some runes as well. The biggest reward though are the bragging rights for surviving a 2 vs 1 or 3 vs 1 fight. Although on one occasion I actually had some backup from a fellow invader which was unexpected. That was 2 vs 2.

@velio84
Yes, it gets boring after a while, true. I have to roll a lot with my current build, dropped my shield to use double scythes. Not rolling is a death sentence against multiple attackers in pvp. Maybe I should throw in a few back steps instead..

LieutenantFatman

Jimmer-jammer

@LieutenantFatman thanks! I’ll have to play around with the invasion system then, if for nothing more than bragging rights.

Holy ****! Malenia is no ****ing joke! One of the toughest ever From Soft bosses imho… maybe just a shade under Owl Father at the Hirata Estate in Sekiro. Very tough!

Has anyone done NG+ yet?

By the time I finished NG I was so high level I didn’t know where to put points. Hard to imagine where you’d build from 80 int/50vigor/etc etc.
