Topic: Games with no DLC or Micros

Hi everyone, seen a comment by @BRT15 in the comments which I am going to run with. Only buying games with no DLC or Micros. So in theory just a single game, complete with no extras.

It would be nice if everyone can share some games like this on PS5. I understand AAA will be out the door and mainly Indies will be included but let's go for it!

List a game each, once a week. Then I can have a nice tidy list to plough through in 2022

The Pathless. And it is a great game too, with awesome sense of exploration and an amazing score by Austin Wintory.

Are you counting Game of the Year editions where all DLC is included or games that don't have DLC at all.

@hypnotoad I don't have a C64. Was always an Amstrad head.

@nessisonett connect 4 is actually really good. Buckaroo errr not so much especially after being used a few times and stops working.

Sackboy has costumes for DLC. But they are all free I believe.

I'm probably going to pick up Demon Souls, Miles Morales and the Pathless to me going!

Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition.
I'm fairly certain this didn't have any dlc and I really enjoyed it a few months back.

@themcnoisy I'm currently playing through at the moment. Took awhile to click, but it is great fun to play.

The Pathless is also under appreciated. It can feel a bit bare bones at times as there is little combat. But traversal and exploration is top knotch.

I’ll toss God of War in as well! High quality, self contained package.

@RogerRoger returnal has a special edition which has dlc

@Kidfried Boom, I think all 4 have only one version with a quick browse. Been meaning to pick up Hades but keep forgetting about it ROFL.

@sorteddan hmmmm, this falls into USF4 territory as it doesn't have DLC but is the main game plus all it's dlc. Crazy I haven't played that, so may look it up.

@Octane That's a tough one, we've already has USF4 and Dead Nation Apocalypse. I suppose as long as it has only one complete version on PS5 it can join the list

Apologies. Kinda obvious that if there is an Apocalypse Edition then there must be a standard edition though after playing it all its hard to see which parts were the DLC that was included! Maybe the arcade/challenge modes but I can't imagine anybody would've actually paid for that bit.

Anyhow as it's Monday, I'm classing it as a separate week so my new suggestion is Jydge.
Another isometric twin -stick shooter affair though this one is more mission based. It's kind of an unofficial attempt to do a Judge Dredd or Robocop character so you can swap around and upgrade a variety of weapons and abilities depending on your preferences and current objectives.
I had a lot of fun with it and am fairly sure (fairly) that this one has no DLC!
