I’m looking to get a nice gaming chair as I’ll be moving into a new house shortly. I had always thought I’d just go with a Secret-Labs chair as they’re kinda the ‘Coca-cola’ of gaming-chairs but I have heard some negatives about their quality.
@colonelkilgore I was toying with the idea of getting one after I've moved, depending on how space I've got. I do struggle sometimes to see what is the point in having one though, apart from it being 'cool' or something.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JechtUltima I have a ‘decent’ chair in the office which work are willing to deliver to my house but I’ve had it for about 5 years now and in all honesty it gives me a real sore a$$. Was hoping that someone may have some experience in this area and therefore had already separated the wheat from the chaff.
@JohnnyShoulder cheers, i’ve done a bit of research since posting the thread and there seems to be a decent business in refurbished orthopaedic chairs. Ones that if brand new would be priced in the thousands but as they have been refurb’d are under £500.
I see a lot of people use GTRacing gaming chairs. I even know a guy who uses one , and hes not even a gamer , so i guess thats saying something for how good they probably are . i don't know the price of them though . They also come in different colors .
@nomither6 cheers, I’ll check them out. If they are like the seats you’d find in a race-car though I wouldn’t imagine that they are great for your back.
I’m predominantly looking for comfort during long sessions (10-12 hours) but also back and neck support… as I ain’t getting any younger 😉.
@velio84 funnily enough Herman Miller (& Steelcase was the other) are the two brands which keep coming up. It looks like those chairs are around £2000-£3000 brand new but that you can get a refurbished one for around £500.
