Topic: Has (game) improved since launch?

Games launch in a less than perfect state all the time and sometimes they really poop the mattress.
There are a couple of games I had my eye on which launched in a particular janky state and was wondering if they have been improved through patches or if I should still stay away, so I thought I'd ask the community here for updates.

Rather than creating a thread solely for the games I was curious about, I thought this thread could be used as a place for others to ask about the state of other games as well. So if you're in the same boat as me, have at it and maybe some one here can share their experiences with that particular game.

The two games I'm wondering about are The Outer Worlds : Spacer's Choice edition and the PS5 version of Pinball FX.

They don't have to be silky-smooth 60 fps stunners without any frame drops for me to enjoy them, but, as I understood it, they were both woefully janky on release, so I'd love to hear if they're approaching "playable" now.
Anyone know if they've improved any?

@FuriousMachine I often see threads created and think 'Why is this here when xxx thread is available?'.

This is not one of those occasions!

I’ve been looking forward to (game) for a long time, shame about its release state 😔

The thread Cyberpunk 2077 and No Mans Sky was made for.

@JohnnyShoulder Happy to hear it I did a quick check to see if there were any threads with recent discussions like this before I created, but there are many threads going far back so I may have overlooked one. Remains to be seen if this will have any value, but I hope so.

Discussions about the improvements made to "Cyberpunk 2077" and "No Man's Sky" definitely belong here, but I believe there may be other titles that have been quietly improved after launch, maybe going from "barely playable" to "playable" and, hopefully, "fun". I'm having such hopes for the two games I mentioned, as I've not heard anything official about them since launch, other than "working on it", in the case of "The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition".

@colonelkilgore It's been massively improved since then, many now consider it (game) of the (year)

It may have been a mistake to give this thread such a generic name.

Hopefully someone with some recent experience with "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition" will drop by and can answer this question:

Is it in a playable and enjoyable state now? I've been wanting to revisit these three for a while and was madly disappointed to read that they were launched in what I understand was quite an abysmal state.
Anyone who knows?

@FuriousMachine I'm pretty sure you can rename threads if you're the creator of it.

@KAIRU Yeah, maybe so, but to what, though? I don't want to limit it to one specific game, which, granted, would possibly attract the attention of people having played said game, but wouldn't be good for much else.

On the other hand, what good is thread that's going mostly unnoticed?
Ah well, I think I'll leave it for now, maybe it originally staled because nobody on here had any info regarding the two games I originally requested updates on and that I'll have better luck with the GTA Trilogy remaster.

KAIRU

@FuriousMachine Well, you could rename it to "Which games have improved since launch?" That's just one that came to mind but I'm sure there are better names for the thread.

I haven't played the remastered trilogy myself but I would like to eventually.
