@Shigurui Iv'e been trying to use Sparkle in every build so when I first tried out Dreamjolt TV she wasn't maxed and got 72k on 1, 74k on 2 and after max 82k on 3. I was happy with the results as I got the jades which are the most important rewards. On stage 3 I used the trial Kafka and Swan and now i'm regretting not having either as you need DoT to beat the level. got Yangqin to 5% hp on his last bar at turn 0 . I used Bronya instead of Sparkle and seems she works really well with Kafka and Black Swan. Managed to get the DoT multiplier to buff to rank 13, Kafka was pretty much 1 shotting the chefs. If they didn't have the option to use the trial characters I probably wouldn't have bothered too much but with it I quite enjoy this mode.

@themightyant I'm still on the fence about Penacony but then again this is still act 1 of 3 so I expect they're saving the best for last. @Shigurui Yea that Firefly story was a wtf moment I did not expect that at all.
The best bit so far were the battle with Sam and the Dream death? The OST for Sam's battle was amazing. I heard a rumor a while back that we will get the 3rd TB path at the end of Penacony and it's supposed to be the most OP Harmony in the game but then again TB's preservation was supposed to be the most OP in the game and it definitely isn't as Fu Xuan shot that down. It wouldn't make sense anyway as the BM is to make players buy the banners.
I'm not too sure if I will go for Acheron (is it just me or does she look like a future Seele?)in her debut as she's going to be Lightning and Jingyuan covers this role already. I'll save for Jingliu rerun as she's still the only one that can beat that damn gorilla properly. If only they gave us Yangqins boss kit instead of the crap we have.
I somehow get the feeling down the line they will release "Ultimate" banners for certain characters.

The 4th stage for Dreamjolt TV is out and has Clara as a trial character but she has "The Moles Welcome You" LC. Every site I've ben on states that it's useless for Clara as since her ultimate doesn't do damage you don't get the 3rd stack. Why would Hoyo set this as her trial LC if that was the case?

You are both right that it's only the first part of Penacony. I just didn't like HOW the story was told, but glad you guys enjoyed it more.

@z0d15g0d Yes Acheron looks like future Seele, in the initial trailer I thought it WAS Seele arriving in Penacony. But she's Erudition like Argenti Nihility but seems to hit all enemies, and she's Lightning DPS, I need both, so unless she's rubbish I will pull for her. But want Jingliu more. A SP positive DPS is a rarity and opens up more team combinations now and in future, unlike DHIL.

I am not convinced at ALL the MC will be the best harmony Character, but I do think they will be good/usable like Fire MC, but not a patch on best e.g. Fu Xuan or even Gepard.

Random Question for anyone that has DHIL: Does he appear as a separate character, or do you have a Switch paths button like main character?

Not sure about Clara and LC as I don't have her and haven't tried that stage.

@themightyant He's a separate character which is why I'm expecting further "ultimate" versions on existing characters in the future.
Has Acheron been confirmed as Erudition? I expected her to be Hunt but on game8 says she's Nihility.

@z0d15g0d So you could have both Dan Heng and DHIL in the same team? Weird. Or do they specifically block that?

No you are right she is Nihility. I saw a video of her gameplay hitting all enemies and assumed, I was wrong. She looks pretty badass (spoilers) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1ONrRHu0m4 and the dual personality aspect of it probably ties into her lore teased at the end of the last Act.

@themightyant Yea you can use them both. I tried it once before and had Dan as a sub DPS but no point as I stopped upgrading him at lv60. I think that's when I got Blade.
Thanks for the link just watched it and looks like she can select a different target with each strike from her ult or did I see that wrong? lol. Hmmm...I might end up getting her as I don't have a Nihility DPS yet. Almost 1yr of playing and still don't have Welt

@themightyant - I used DHIL and DH together during the mission at Scalegorge when you have to put DHIL in your party so I would assume it can be done in regular play.

@z0d15g0d - Hoyo do weird stuff with trial characters at times. In Genshin trial Albedo uses a weapon you can't ever get if you missed a certain event. I suppose because Clara will never be on a featured banner there's no incentive to showcase her so they just threw a random build together.

As for the Acheron/Seele thing, I think clothing and colour scheme wise they're sort of similar but I get strong Raiden Shogun vibes from Acheron. Would love her on my account but I'm on zero pity so no chance but I will get her on my alt as I'm on a guarantee. Also 15 pulls away from 300 on standard on my main so I'm pre-farming for Bronya, can't wait to finally have her on this account.

@Shigurui there’s very deliberate Raiden Shogun vibes. MiHoYo have a history of alternate realities with their characters so that different versions appear in different games. This is known as an “Expy”.

Some are more abstract, more a spiritual successor, but others like Welt and Himeko are more direct even though Himeko died in H3rd. It’s very clever, it adds to the hype of characters, builds it across their games and no doubt makes players who know pull more. MiHoYo often use the same voice actors etc. further building the links.

Acheron (HSR) / Raiden Mei (Honkai third) / Raiden Shogun (Genshin) etc. all seem linked in design. though (heavy leaked spoilers for future character) there is a rumoured horned character called Yayi that may be the actual Raiden Shogun expy… building on what you said about Ultimate versions this could possibly be Acheron’s Ult, similar to DHIL, or a new character.

That all said she STILL looked like Seele to me initially, but I’m not THAT observant

Just played the Pure Fiction update. All about the follow-up attacks. Yangqin finally useful. Clara's an absolute beast.

@z0d15g0d I did ok for a first run on Pure Fiction. Beat all 4 levels and got 7 stars. Will upgrade a few characters and see how I get on later. Don’t have that many follow up attackers for all the elements though. First 2 were child’s play but 3rd was tough.

Also did the rest of Dreamjolt TV event and got 80k+ on all stages. Pretty easy when you know how to max the bonus, and can be done entirely with trial characters.

@Shigurui FINALLY got a couple of upgrades for Seele. Thought I had a god-roll piece when I got a CR 5-star body on the quantum set with CD and ATK%… but it rolled twice into Flat DEF and Effect Res twice each….. FFS!!!!…. Took weeks to get just one semi decent body piece and that was it. I hate relic/artifact farming in these games, it’s designed to be such a waste of time.

It’s still a very slight upgrade on my 4-star piece even though it has less ATK% and CD, the guaranteed +10CR from being a 5-star marginally makes it better and gives me a 70:155 Crit ratio.

But I’m now almost maxed out with 1500 relics. How do you and @z0d15g0d decide what to keep? I have the same problem in Genshin! Hoarder. 😂

@themightyant I decide what to keep based on what my main characters need. CR, CD, SPD, ENREG(as it's damn rare) I keep anything with those stats then delete as appropriate if the final stats are crappy. Getting happy with a CR,CD substat roll only for them to be 2.3% and 2.7% at max

@themightyant - I pretty much do the same as @z0d15g0d, I just keep the best substat pieces for whoever I'm building. You should both check out Bernard Pangan on YouTube, he has some excellent relic manipulation videos.

@z0d15g0d Currently I keep most / all CR, CD, SPD, ENREG pieces and any 5-star relic with a SPD substat and even some 4-stars if they have 3 good substats incl SPD. I also keep good Eff Hit %, Healing % and Element % on the right sets. But I also find I want to keep tanky pieces like HP%, DEF% for supports (Effect Res is nice for them too).

When all that is done I just find I am always pushing the 1500 limit, which makes farming a chore.

I know I am not good at deciding which ones are worth keeping, but I know a character will come out that will need some random stat like SW needing Effect Hit %, Adventurine looks like he may be built on DEF%, etc. etc.

How many do you each have stored? (Just trying to get an idea of how much I need to cull!)

@Shigurui Thanks for the heads up on Bernard Pangan I'll check this out, perhaps it can help my hoarding tendencies. And Congrats on being close to guaranteed Bronya. I am at 215 so still several months away. I have slipped a few random wishes into the standard banner to try and speed it a little, but not too many.

@themightyant I'm currently at 1216. I get rid of anything less than 5*. I'm looking to get rid of quite a few 5* for relics and ornaments no one ever uses like Vonwacq and Guards uniform of old now that I can get Relic EXP Mats instead of only Relic Remains.

I'm going through G&G at the mo to try and get all the jades just sitting there. Have you guys completed that mode yet?

@z0d15g0d No. I found it better than Swarm Disaster but still pretty dull. In part because it's annoyingly tuned whereby most fights are comically easy, but then some are super hard and grindy and you can get one shotted if not setup correctly. I think I have about 1/3 of the jades though. I figured i'd slowly chip away at it and have the jades for when I really needed them.

@themightyant - I'm always hovering at around 1300, whenever I hit the limit I feed 100 garbage relics into another 100 garbage relics and feed those into potentially decent ones.

@z0d15g0d - I genuinely forgot G&G exists, never touched it outside of the initial intro mission. Guess I should farm those jades lol.

BTW do you guys want to share supports? I use them almost daily but I'd rather earn credits for you than randoms. Add me via my UID if so.
