I played it for all of 5 minutes before work today and it sure is pretty.
Never expected it to be GOTY material but seems like a very nice little game and honestly great for a debut from directors that only have background in film/animation. Definitely one of the best looking platformers out there, if nothing else.
It sounds like a good solid game so will definitely grab this at some point. Good to hear that the gameplay is good as well as the visuals. This is only the start for these guys too.
The PS4 version has an unavoidable game breaking bug that happens when you equip a mask that's needed to progress. You can't remove it once equipped, the camera freaks out and gets stuck in first person mode. It completely halts game progression. How this wasn't caught is beyond belief. Stuck with a digital coaster until it gets patched. Highly unimpressed.
@Shigurui Sorry that happened to you but apparently it doesn't happen every time?
My first impressions on PS5 are positive. Looks and sounds great. Gameplay itself is nothing exceptional so far but good enough. Some abilities seem interesting and the little wooden monsters hit surprisingly hard sometimes
I'm only about an hour in, so I've only done some very basic puzzles, heading for the first real objective, where I expect to find some kind of boss fight.
I don't think this will be a GOTY contender for me but it's really nice - so far so good.
I got the bow and found 100% of everything in one of the regions of the map. The bow is pretty cool - both for combat and for environmental puzzles. That's enough for today though
@Voltan - In my case it happens every time I equip the mask. My save point is right where you need to use it to drop the barrier, once equipped it bugs out and I'm stuck in a loop of the camera either spinning wildly or staying in first person and Kena can't move at all. Loading my save puts me back to square one and the bug kicks in again.
@Shigurui Ugh, that sucks. I saw others mention it happening but they all said they were able to progress after reloading. I hope it gets patched very soon.
It is 32 quid in the UK from the PS store. I don't mind paying that even if it is supposed a shorter experience, just to show some support to a small indie team on their first game.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Seriously though, I usually am, so I don't see myself only completing it in 8-10 hours either when I start it (probably tomorrow) after I'm done with Uncharted 3.

I definitely want to find all the Rot and hats and stuff so yeah, so far it looks like it could be 15-ish hours for the initial playthrough (and then you need to beat it on master difficulty for the plat).
so apparently there was a ps5 patch for the game bringing it to version 1.04 but mine did not get that patch is still version 1.03 anyone ele have that?
@jdv95 Was the patch today? Because I didn't get any patches between the pre-load on the weekend and around midnight (CET) last night.
If it's today, I'll be able to check in a couple hours.
