@SirAngry I mean at this stage you are just speculating at what could go wrong at this point, which I don't think helps anyone. Just because they haven't something doesn't always mean something is wrong.
I think Sony have already said the UI will be improved and takes advantage of the SSD. Of course they could not be telling the truth, but that is upto the individual whether to belive them or not.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder maybe, but in the absence of concrete information to the contrary this is what I have to go on. Also after last night I'm not sure we can trust statements out of Sony with regards to the PS5, I'm not even sure Sony know what's going on after last night.
@LieutenantFatman Good question! I think Demon's Souls looks absolutely rad, but I haven't finished Bloodborne, so I don't know if it's for me. The prospect of playing God of War next year is maybe my favourite moment of the show.
@SirAngry OK but I think we need to move on and rather keep going on about what may or may not could go wrong, I think it is better to concentrate on what we do know rather than trying fill in the blanks with speculative and false information. That will only make things worse and will only end in one way.

@JohnnyShoulder until they show these things it's going to happen, and you don't get to decide what others talk about and want to know. Sony are miles behind on revealing details. I'm actually convinced by Demon's Souls, it's the one game I really wanted at launch, that and Ratchet & Clank, plus Spider-Man Miles Morales actually looked really good. They've got a job on their hands to get everything out in time and convince me €80's a game this gen is worth it and justified. Sony more than ever need to morph PS Now or PS+ into a Game Pass like service, I think the PS+ Game Collection might be the start of that, but the PS5 long term doesn't look like such a good product in the current climate to me.
@Kidfried
I was really intrigued by FFXVI, interested to see more of it. My only cornern is so many recent Final Fantasies have had weak narratives and uninteresting characters. But I thought they did quite well with the FF7 Remake and the narrative for FF14 is meant to be really good, so I think there's plenty to be positive about.
Considering I’ve now sunk 45 hours into FFXIV since last Wednesday, I’d say I trust the team to deliver with XVI even if that trailer just did nothing for me.
My game of the show was probably Hogwarts Legacy - not that I am a fan of Harry Potter or the Fantastic Beasts but maybe because this was a surprise announcement and looked like it would be quite interesting to play.
Spider-Man looked OK but looked a bit too 'Infamous' and the bridge section seemed to echo Marvel Avengers game-play so I kind of got a bit of 'Deja Vu' watching it and that maybe had an impact on why it wasn't my game of the show.
I am not a Final Fantasy fan but the game-play made me think of the Witcher 3. Whilst watching, before they announced it was FF, I was thinking that someone was trying to copy that game, make their 'version' of it - not that the Witcher wasn't an amazing game, but that it again left me feeling like I have seen this before.
Most of the other games didn't really interest me and wouldn't be on my wanted list. I have no interest in Deathloop, oddworld or Demon Souls. I can't get excited for God of War: Ragnarok yet as I have not seen anything from it. I am sure it won't disappoint but until I get some game-play and more details, its too early to be 'excited' and certainly can't be considered for 'game of the show' with just that announcement.
Of the other multi-platform releases CoD looked like CoD - the sequence even looked like it was a sequence from an older CoD, albeit better looking. RE VIII: Village could be OK but certainly not a day 1 so all in all, the one game that really surprised me and stood out as something 'new' and interesting was Hogwarts Legacy.
As far as I am concerned, I have absolutely NO intention of paying those Game Prices and NO way will I be buying an All Digital Console and being held to ransom to pay those prices. With BC and a BIG backlog on both PS4 and XB1 inc free games from PS+/Gold, there is absolutely NO reason to buy games on day 1 and can wait until they drop in price or find them used on ebay. I hate not supporting the Devs by buying used, but I also intend to vote with my wallet that those prices are unacceptable. Console gamers are already expected to pay more than PC gamers and I refuse to do so. Its also making Game Pass a far more attractive model and Sony's price hiking could well push people over to Xbox and Game Pass - not just to play on a Console, but to play ANYWHERE if they have an Android device too.
Of course Sony fanboys won't buy an Xbox regardless and those who buy the all digital and digital games will be subsidising those who don't...
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
Personally, I was a bit disappointed with the Demon's Souls video. Might as well have been having a leisurely stroll to the shops with how easily they jogged along and casually one poked enemies to death. Didn't capture the feeling of the game at all.
@nessisonett
I thought the trailer was pretty good, although I am wondering how the combat will work.
I'm looking forward to these games that were shown off at the PS5 showcase yesterday.
Final Fantasy XVI
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Hogwarts: Legacy
Resident Evil VIII: Village
Devil May Cry V: Special Edition
Demon's Souls Remake
God of War: Ragnarok
Yeah I know what you mean @LieutenantFatman. Looked so gooooood graphically though... I can't wait to see the Tower Of Latria in full! The starting area of that is one of my favourite areas in any souls game
I don't remember a whole lot of FFIV (The DS version so we're talking like 12 years or so since I touched it)) but I thought it was quite hokey & melodramtic for most of it's runtime rather then dark @kidfried
Never played VI (I know the basic gist though) but I guess FFVII is more darker in tone.
Like @BAMozzy said I did get a Witcher sorta vibe/tone from FFXVI. If it does it well though that's fine with me.
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy VI is the darkest game for sure. IV has moments of dark if you consider a man dressed in purple having existential angst ‘dark’ I guess! Although characters do die in that one. Nothing will beat the Celes section on the island in terms of dark moments in the FF series because it didn’t need dialogue to convey what was going on. Nowadays, there would be a monologue about the power of friendship instead 😂
All I really remember of FF IV tbh @nessisonett is Kain's severe backstabbing syndrome and everyone sacrificing themselves only to turn up once again a few hours later all fine and dandy 😅
I think I tried FFVI once... But I couldn't really get into it unfortunately.
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy It’s amazing how many people I’ve seen who can’t get into VI. If you asked people 5 years ago, that would hands down have been voted the best game in the series. Nowadays I’d say VII or IX would be more likely.
