@Bentleyma Ghostwire: Tokyo honestly has some of the best graphics I’ve experienced on PS5. Everything is ridiculously detailed. It’s a real showcase. I settled on the ‘high frame rate quality with v-sync enabled’ mode.

@KidBoruto I’ve owned a PS5 before, but sold it due to issues with my internet. I already own games like Demon Souls and Returnal. I’ll be buying Ghostwire: Tokyo this weekend though.
My bad, I didn't know. That aside, great selection of games to choose from!
I own Forbidden West and Returnal but haven't played them yet...will buy Demon's Souls and Ghostwire: Tokyo once I've conquered more of my backlog first.
@nessisonett are those actual David Cage quotes? Like, how have I never heard of this?

@zupertramp Came out during the trial last year in the French courts. What’s rather laughable is his defence where he claimed he isn’t homophobic as he worked with Elliott Page, leaving out the part where he supervised a nude model being made without Page’s consent, leading to the exploration of a lawsuit against Quantic Dream. Page’s legal team then made a statement saying that QD’s representatives wouldn’t take part in mediation or arbitration so yes, David Cage is clearly such a friend of the gays.
@nessisonett I had no idea. Not a huge fan of QD games anyway but good to know going forward.
Feel like this really slipped under the radar. Weird.

@JohnnyShoulder All they had to do was adapt the original story of FF7 while expanding on the less-explained elements. The chapter of Remake where you go off and meet Jessie’s parents totally worked in that respect. Instead we got an overcomplicated sequel that relies on knowledge of the original game and reads like dodgy AU fanfiction. I don’t get why Nomura is allowed near anything, he overcomplicated Kingdom Hearts and now he’s set his sights on FF7.
@nessisonett It could end up being a turd. Any game technically could be, but I have my doubts given how much I enjoyed the first one. I'm sure plenty of people will love it for what it is, while others will be crying when they could just go back to the original or play something else they enjoy instead of complaining.
That comes off even harsher than intended, I know, but it's the internet and I don't think sugarcoating it really is effective. It's just aggravating to see this almost every time a beloved classic whatever gets remade and it's not exactly how the person imagined it would be, while it's a big deal for people who are willing to accept something different instead of basically calling it trash.

@KilloWertz I never played the original but I'd like to think that if I had, I would still enjoy the remake and actually get a kick out of it being its own thing. Surprises are good, no?
I think the intention was to make something that was respectful of the original game and of the fans of said game, but update it for modern times and not just on terms of graphics. Attempting to appeal to new fans as much as old and maybe this is why the remake is controversial with many gamers.
If it wasn't for a couple of chapters after the big even around chapter 12 or 13, the remake would've been a 10/10 as far as I'm concerned.
@Col_McCafferty I get it to an extent since it was assumed it would be a more faithful remake until Thursday when they revealed it's going way off on it's own path, but I still find it annoying that it's automatically trash because it won't be completely faithful and that people shouldn't accept it.
Like I said, the most important thing is that they continue to be enjoyable. Yeah, the first one wasn't perfect, but it's also one of those games that I could play over and over again if I didn't have so many other games to play. I played it once on my PS4 Pro and once on my PS5, so that's good for now.
