Topic: Ps5 Disc Drive Noise

My Ps5 only makes a buzzing noise while downloading horizon zero dawn, but with the other games it’s fine and doesn’t buzz, why is this? Mid way though downloading it got a little bit quieter suddenly.

@Space_Nutzzz I remember in the teardown demo they specifically told us that the PS5 disc drive is encased in anti vibration shell.

Seeing all the complaints I this that was just a marketing LIE

@Steel76 I think we need to give Sony a bit more 'credit', for lack of a better word. R&D and Design within companies this big don't do things as an afterthought. I can guarantee that they didn't just say... "Oh, you want a disc drive? Just slap it on the side". The drive would have been a part of the design from the beginning. Which makes it worse in a way given its placement and how it looks on the console.
The design of the entire unit hasn't endeared itself to me. I don't hate but but I don't love it. It doesn't look quite right. I do like the DualSense though.

Also, this is already a thread. We don't need multiple on the drive noise.
