I’ve finally started using the PSN Wishlist, from what I gather it has recently been updated and now shows if any of the games you have tagged are currently on sale etc. Thought it might be worth starting a thread as, 1) I’m always forgetting games I have taken a momentary fancy too… and 2) we can let people know when any games that have been mentioned go on sale etc.
I personally like to go physical on most titles (well AA and AAA anyway) but indies generally only have a very minimal physical release… so my Wishlist is all about that specific area… but no doubt we’re all looking for different things. Just keep an eye on the sales and if any bells ring in regards to what you may have seen on this thread… pass the info on 👍:
My current wishlist:
Disco Elysium Subnautica: Below Zero Aragami 2 Eldest Souls F.I.S.T: Forged In Shadow Torch Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy-Definitive Edition Enter the Gungeon
*Castlevania Advance Collection Alienation Dead Nation Blue Fire
*PS Castlevania Advance Collection is currently on sale but as I have no real urgency to play it, I’m going to hold on for a more significant reduction in future.
@colonelkilgore Great thread idea! Seems we have a couple of common interest, albeit I have the below logged on my Switch wish-list:
Disco Elysium
Eldest Souls
I am personally more excited by Eldest Souls, but current RRP seems a bit steep considering it is still essentially a 2D game.
I am intrigued by Disco Elysium, but not confident enough to hit the button... especially as current RRP on Switch is >£45 GBP.
For PSN... I only have one game on wishlist which is Deathloop;. I'd like it just to go down in price a little more (Which i envisage is may in the run-up to Christmas).
I honestly thought it would be appalling based on pre-release hype, but actual player reviews have been really positive!
Although I have plenty of games, I am keeping an eye out for:
Demon’s Souls
Kena Bridge of Spirits
Life is Strange: True Colors
Kentucky Route Zero
Disco Elysium
Night in the Woods
Avengers (for the single player campaign)
Resident Evil Village
Some of these have been discounted before, but I am still waiting for a deeper sale and when the time is right.

My current wishlist is rather short and consists of Deathloop, Guardians of the Galaxy, Psychonauts 2 and Tales of Arise (plus a bunch of upcoming games). I have a feeling the latter will be discounted for Black Friday.
@Thrillho It’s amazing how many of us have Disco Elysium on our lists. 😅 It’s actually been offered at a decent sale price a time or two but I’ve been busy with other games. I’m also a little worried I won’t click with the unusual gameplay.
On a related note — do you all think that Sony tracks how many people have certain games in their wishlist? As some kind of way to gauge interest for sales or PS Plus?
@Fyz306903 There's been a leak (not 100% sure if real but looks like it) from some German source that would indicate that BF sales start in fact this Friday (the 19th) and one of the deals will be 30% off PS Plus subscriptions, along with some 1st party games being discounted.
@Th3solution That's a good question. I think Steam does something like that on their store.
@Th3solution it had occurred to me actually… not sure how I would interpret it if it is tracked though. Would they lower the price accordingly as they know that all of a sudden there would be a large number of purchases? Or would they hold of, assuming that the vast majority of people who had added a particularly popular game, would just fold eventually and pay full price?
@Thrillho much like sol, I have genuine concerns that I just won’t like Disco Elysium. I’m intrigued by its world and characters but when I take a closer look at the game’s fundamentals… it puts me off.
@colonelkilgore I would hope that Sony sees that we are putting games in the Wishlist because we’re waiting for a price drop so it would encourage them to do so. At least for me personally, most of my wishlist are games I’m not going to pay full price for. The exception is probably Kena, which I’ll probably be willing to pay the $40 for eventually, since that’s already a low entry level price point, but I figure I won’t have to by the the time I’m ready to play it. Demon’s Souls is also a game that appears well worth the full price. It’s just that it’s a year old and I feel silly paying full price on a game that old.
But as for wishlist data monitoring, it might also act as a deterrent for them to put these games on PS Plus since they figure we’ll buy them anyways. So maybe it’s a double edged sword.

My wishlist is huge so I won't bore everyone by listing every single game, and plus I simply can't be bothered to copy the whole list lol.
But Disco Elysium is on there also but as with most games I will get it when the mood strikes me.
I'm hoping to get Spider-man Miles Morales in time for Christmas as it is set at Christmas I believe, and I fancy playing something Christmassy this Christmas. Christmas. You know when you see a word a few times and it looks weird? That is now Christmas for me lol.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@velio84 Thanks for making me aware Disco Elysium is available on Mac. It's a bit pricey but might pick that up at some point to play when the PS is being used by someone else 👍
So the wishlist update is definitely working... just got a fair few alerts that games I'd added wrre now on sale... that new indie sale has a load of great deals!
