@Thrillho@JohnnyShoulder@JigsawPieces Yeah those health pack drops are really useful, and from experience they usually appear once you've done the first round. I must have done Ophion now 4 - 5 times over and only once was the health item dropped a malignant one, otherwise it's been a normal one.
@JigsawPieces Those malfunctions that get forced on you in 6 are a real pain. My wife was lucky on that run through 6 last night. She had two malfunctions, one of them was the pool of acid one, and managed to get the consumable for removing all malfunctions from a broken fabricator. Occasionally this game can be good to you, but just not often 😂
@johncalmc I had a quick go at R&C last night. I'm planning on playing it at the weekend with the kids so only played the first 10 minutes up to where there's some proper action. Looks like it's going to be fun but compared to Returnal it feels really relaxed!!
@Voltan Yeah it was my first and only time so far, did quite well in getting it down to under 3/4 health, but then I panicked when I had no more health vials or revival items left.
@render Oh yeah those forced malfunctions are a reet pain in the bum. I wondered what was happening as was deliberately avoiding picking up anything maligned if I could.

@Thrillho@render I think I had one that prevented me picking up any weapons, and one that caused damage on overload. Had both of those in place from before I set off up the path to get the key. Not ideal!
@JigsawPieces There's quite a few changes there, hopefully welcome ones too. Especially those that balance the game out a bit and give more of a chance for the scout logs to appear etc.
The platinum is finally mine. The last 2 ciphers took me ages to find in Abyssal Scar but it's done now. I can relax and start Ratchet and Clank tomorrow 😀
@MightyDemon82 Well done 👍, it’s good to get it in the bag. Those last few are always the hardest. Think you’ll still play on or are you going to completely focus on R&C? I’ve been playing R&C tonight and I like it but it’s just not grabbing me like Returnal did.
@render Thanks, I'll definitely keep playing to unlock all weapon traits, Maybe i'll finally meet that one enemy I've not came across bizarrely in just under 150 hours. Will take a crack at the daily challenges more regularly as well!
Met the boss in biome 6 last night, for the first time ... but had no health, no health packs and no revives. So I lasted literally two seconds after the intro! Doh!
@JigsawPieces Ah bad luck. I think the first time I did it I was in a similar situation with no health etc. It’s annoying when you can’t just go back to the fabricators to get some more. I got it done the second time round though as I didn’t have to clear that stupid section where the key is.
@adrianthealchemist If I was doing 6 then I’d just take the trip to 5 just to spend money at the fabricators then go straight onto 6. That’s if I’d got enough obolites. Clearing any of the sections in 5 can be quite treacherous so early on I just found it not worth it.
I played some Ratchet last night and quite enjoyed it but thought I’d just have a quick blast on Returnal to finish off the night and maybe unlock a few weapon traits. Ended up playing for hours and was within 2% of unlocking portal beam 3 on the hollowseeker. Even without that unlocked though that thing was ripping through stuff like it was nothing. I did the challenge room in 6 in about a minute and without taking any damage and did the boss in a minute or two as well. With portal beam 3 unlocked that thing is going to be reeediculous.
Also I’m sure @JigsawPieces will get the boss next time. The thing about getting to Ophion the first time is that you’re usually coming straight from that death corridor you need to do to get the vault key - and you don’t have to do it at all the next time.
@adrianthealchemist I've been doing the same as @render and going to 5 so I can spend some of my hard earned obolites. I always do a full run of 4 mind, to get everything up to a good level. I once got about 700 obolites before I even dropped down to the fabricators in biome 4.

I literally never did a full run of biome 4 when I was working on 6 (or 5 for that matter)
The only time I did anything past the fabricator room in 4 was when there was a cool item I couldn't afford so I just did enough to earn the obolites to get it.
I guess I had a more risky playstyle than some
