@Thrillho Unlucky. I guess the more hours you put in the more likely you are to see a crash.

@Thrillho Just watched your boss fight against Ophion, great fight. I don’t remember some of the sequences so it’s amazing how much you react to without actually taking it in. I know quite a lot of stuff was just going on in my peripheral vision and it always looks like it’s coming straight for you but you can easily get around it.

Since my Act 1 trophy glitched and didn’t pop, turns out I literally can’t get the platinum. F**k Housemarque.

@nessisonett Wouldn’t it pop upon defeating Nemesis again?

@Voltan Nope. I got the Nemesis trophy after it glitched out by beating it again but no Act 1 trophy. Apparently it only pops again if you start the whole game from scratch.

@nessisonett Welp that sucks. I hear you can beat the game in just a few hours though so completing Act 1 from scratch shouldn’t take more than 2, right? 😉

@Voltan I guess but it’s just not acceptable for a game at this price to have so many bugs. It’s nonsense that I have to essentially beat the game as much as possible and then clear my save file and start again just to get 1 trophy. It should be able to look at my save and see that I’ve clearly beaten Act 1.

@nessisonett You’re 100% right, I was just kidding. I’d probably still do it if it was me, not gonna lie (in the particular case of Returnal)

@nessisonett it’s a shame they just can’t drop a check in there at startup that pops any trophies that you should have gotten.

@JigsawPieces Yeah, there are a few different mutated enemies you can come across. Luckily, the majority I’ve found have been in secret areas with a portal to escape behind you.

@render I’ve quite liked watching some of the boss fights back for the reasons you say. Most of the time in the fights I almost pay no attention to where I’m firing and more on what’s going on. The final fight is the trickiest for that as you have to shoot the orbs too (on watching it back, I noticed I spent a lot of time shooting already opened orbs!)

In my current run I was having good fun with the lobber as it just ate through enemies. I wouldn’t advise trying to beat the boss with it though; that wasn’t much fun!

And an act III question;

@render I’m sure they technically can. Some games do it. It’s probably not the highest priority at the moment though.

@Thrillho It’s possible that the last sequence has to done in biome 4 as it ends with Selene finding herself on a normally inaccessible platform opposite of the house. I’d check the house there first

@Thrillho It’s definitely the biome 4 house, I was in the same position as you. That’s me collected two now, in biomes 4 and 5. I might go back to do biomes 1, 2 and 3 first though as you have to fight the final boss again anyway.

@Voltan Case in point my PS5 has just crashed. As I was trying to turn it off. It's frozen on the power menu. I'm just gonna try to power cycle it. I do wonder if maybe I've got a bad 'un.

@nessisonett You still have to do another house sequence after getting all 6, so even if you get the 6th last, you’ll still have to go back to 4 before fighting the boss one last time.

@Voltan Yeah, but I’ll start back at 4 anyway if I’m going to go fight the final boss. Plus the house always spawns before the warp points.

@Voltan @nessisonett Is there a way to jump between biome 1 and 4 then?

@Voltan You are no doubt right there, there are definitely higher priority things than the trophies and I’d be happy to play through it all over like you.

@PossibLeigh That’s what happened to me and when it started back up and I started Returnal it told me my save was corrupt and that it had restored from a backup. I hadn’t closed Returnal before I did that so I guess it tried to save state at that moment. Lucky the cloud save had a later progress than the one that got restored.

@Thrillho yes, the mysterious object in Helios’ cargo bay does just that.
