How many still play Tom clancy division 1 and 2. Did you enjoyed it? Did it sell well, lots of players? If 1 and 2 is a success, maybe 3 we could get to see it later point of time. Aliens invasion. Best story told, best gameplay, lots of variety weapons and rarity.
I heard they've done well enough - although 2 was an apparent 'disappointment' sales-wise.
The player base seems smaller than that of other titles in the same genre (Destiny) but the players that it has retained seem loyal just like they were in the first game.
It's a game me and my girlfriend go back to every so often and we enjoy it enough when we do.
As for the Alien Invasion scenario you mentioned, I don't think that'll happen.
Tom Clancy games (and the books before them) are more thrillers that are somewhat grounded in a semi-realistic reality. I very much doubt his estate would allow such a departure from what he was known for.
