Topic: Which games will retire your PS4?

It won't be retired for a long time to come given how many games I still haven't played on PS4. But Ghost of Tsushima was the last major release that I will get at launch on PS4 most likely. In that sense, that amazing has retired my PS4. Anything I get at launch that's not a $15 will probably be on PS5 now.
The big games I need to get and/or finish are Death Stranding, Persona 5: Royal, and Nier.
Wait, Persona 5 strikers will probably retire my system unless they shove it on PS5. The moment anything Persona 5 releases I'm getting. I'm that much of a P5 fanboy now.

I couldn't snag a launch PS5 but we managed to grab my son an Xbox series X. So yeah my pro will most likely be in use over the next 6-9 months.

I took my eye off the ball this year and mainly concentrated on Dreams. There are a bunch of games I'm looking forward too over the forthcoming coming months.

FF7 remake
GoT
TLOU 2

Then a few classics I missed entirely but have through PS Plus;

Nioh
Deus Ex Mankind Divided

That should see me through.

Maybe I should buy Knack, and have it be the last game I play on it before the PS5 comes out.

@Jaz007 P5 Strikers is going to be amazing anyway. I played through the entire game in Japanese on Switch, and it's probably as good as an Action RPG with the Persona IP is going to get. I'm probably getting it on PS4 when it comes to the West, but it'll probably be well after I've already gotten my PS5 so I'll just play it on that. I'll even try to beat vanilla and Royal again on PS5 as well if I'm feeling extra ambitious

@TheFrenchiestFry Do you read Japanese? Which is to say, do you know how the story holds up? Because from a gameplay perspective that already sounds stellar. I enjoy a good Musou game on occasion so that'll be perfect for Persona.

@Jaz007 I used the power of Google translate in real time, so I was able to piece together the general story but might've missed the more intimate details

It's basically like a more ambitious take on the main game's plot with them going on a road trip all over Japan, and the new human character is basically placing them on suspect watch in regards to sudden new mental shutdown cases much like what Persona 5's plot was all about. The dungeons themselves actually extend to the environment of the outside areas in these regions rather than being contained specifically in Palaces, which is a nice change in pace in terms of aesthetic variety

The encounters also heavily encourage stuff like sneaking up on Shadows and fighting enemies in small, boss-like chunks rather than all at once unlike something like Hyrule or Fire Emblem Warriors, so there are increments that mimic how contained battles in turn-based Persona feel.
