Silent Hill 2 Remake

Just picked up Alone in the Dark for £20. It didn’t seem to review as well as I was hoping but I have heard decent things from gamers pretty consistently since it released. Looks pretty cool.

@colonelkilgore Alone in the Dark really clicked with me and I definitely think it's worth £20. I played through it back to back with both characters and that's something I rarely do. I'd be interested to hear what you think of it once you get round to it.

@Bentleyma good to hear further positivity about this game… it really does seem like it got done a bit dirty at review time, which is a shame.

Oh well, it’ll probably be around 4 years ish until I get around to it, as I want to get through all the Resident Evil games first 😅… so apologies in advance if I forget to tag you when I eventually get around to it. I’ll try to remember though 😉

@Bentleyma could well be mate… I’ve only recently clicked with Survival Horror (with the Dead Space games), so I have a load to catch up on. All the RE’s, Silent Hill 2 Remake (and hopefully further remakes in the series), the Evil Within games, the Daymare games, Alone in the Dark and I’m probably missing some too. The maximum I can fit in is two per year… so it’s gonna take a while 😅

I recently picked up Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. I was looking for a game that isn’t necessarily in my wheelhouse, and I heard nothing but great things about this game. I’m not sure when I will start it, but it’s definitely on my cross media bar, tempting me.

I bought Kong: Survivor Instinct. I was looking for a shorter game to play between Metaphor: ReFantazio and Ys X: Nordics. The combat is just about serviceable, but I'm enjoying the exploration so far. I'm not sure why, but I love exploring everyday locations that are in ruins. It's one of the reasons I like The Last of Us and Silent Hill 2.

Hardspace is definitely one I’ve circled for a while and would be interested in your thoughts Porkchop when you do eventually start it. I don’t if intimidated is the right word but I’ve installed it a few times when I had PS+ and then eventually deleted it for whatever reason 🤷‍♀️

My latest is Persona 3 Reload. I had planned to play it via GP earlier in the year but just haven’t had the usual enthusiasm for gaming this year so quite happy to have it, on disc and on PS so I can take my time as the series is completely new to me 👍

I started something a couple of weeks ago after a couple of months of struggling to gel with anything. I feel if I talk about it I’ll curse myself 😂

I bought Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on a whim. I've missed playing the multiplayer and I like having something I can put on and play when I have a spare 20 minutes.

Hoping to squeeze an extra game into the year so I picked up Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Looks very interesting.

Persona 3: Reload Could have played this on gamespass back in February, that was indeed my intention, but I’ve just been in such funk with gaming I just didn’t bother. Glad to have it on disc and take my time with it when I get to it.

Bought Helldivers 2 after many months of several friends pushing me to check it out. I'm enjoying the game already and I've only had it a couple of days but have been grinding it out since.
