@Jaz007: For regular TV series, I'd vote "Chuck", because it went the overused amnesia route towards the end though it did have a mostly happy ending. For anime, i'd say "Darker Than Black", because to me it feels like the ending is a climax point with a kinda happy ending stamped onto it because of budget cuts. I mean really, they introduce a new bad guy, an important character dies, but it's all ok because the two kids in the show are happy. >_>

What sci-fi device (only 1) would you like to see become reality and from what sci-fi show/programme/book does it come from? (Things like Lightsabres, time machine, teleporters, land speeders etc)

That's a hard one, I would like time travel but there's to many things that can go wrong. I would probably like hyperspace travel that way we can travel to distant planets systems etc quickly perhaps even set up colonies on them like Star Wars.

What is your biggest regret in life?

@Tasuki: Hyper space travel would, in theory, involve time travel, since to get anywhere at any kind of reasonable speed (which is essentially the point, from a practical perspective) you'd need to be going faster than the speed of light and, relatively speaking from the perspective of the observer, going forward in time as a result. It does beg the question "is it worth it?" setting up colonies so far away when communication back would not be possible as you'd be existing on a different plain of time to the recipient. Sending messages back to home base at "hyper speed" (aka light speed or faster) from the colony wouldn't result in the message going back in time to home bases timeline, rather it would arrive ahead of the relative time of the sender colony, assuming it arrives at all. It's almost an evolution of the question "If a tree falls in a forest, does it make any noise?", the real question of course being "Does it matter?" and the answer arguably being "No, not really".

From a practical perspective I wonder how you can plot a course to another system at such speeds while ensuring you'd not hit any physical obstacles due to enter your path, practically impossible without mapping the entire area for all bodies and calculating trajectories.

Makes my brain melt, hopefully there are solutions to these problems and more!

My biggest regret? I don't know, I think anyone who says "no regrets" is talking rubbish but I generally try and make good decisions. I have minor regrets every day though, i.e "I shouldn't have eaten that burger". Probably that I haven't travelled more, hope to make up for that down the line.
