I really think that Bioware stole my money with this one T___T.... It has maps better suited for strategy than RPG. And in terms of everything this game shows bad example of quantity over quality conception. So much repetative, reused and meaningless things.... A lot of glitches, even after several patches.. I really can't understand how they can sell it... It's just pure trash =). In terms of meaningless quests and collectables. it's even worse than Assassin's Creed..... Oh, and those Dragons, they are mostly one Dragon with different skins... So sad... Uh, Who agreed with me?
I agree unfortunately, I've played for 40 hours and really not enjoyed my time. The environments are beautiful but they've somehow made them a chore to explore. It's not for me, which does make me worry a little for The Witcher..
Agreed, 3 hours played over 2 sessions and I didn't enjoy it at all. Bioware isn't the company It once was now ea gas its greedy mits all over it. Cant fault the content but it was just boring.

I heard this game is more fun if you play as an archer...
Funny, I am playing as an archer =)... But it doesn't matter, this game is just really bad. Like 4 out of 10 bad. At least for me. Above all it's glitches and boringness, it has the worst cast of characters I've ever saw in Bioware rpgs. I don't know why, but I always end up very irritated by this game. Maybe it's because it makes you feel like you do absolutely meaningless things. I can't understand how this game has 89% on metacritic, it's just blows my mind.

Maybe - I was a tank, but you can switch between your team on the fly and the game balances your team out - ie) player tank, comp - healer, archer, warrior. A good way to describe It is - a massive openish fantasy gta wannabe game full of worst in class gameplay with good graphics (but not outstanding) and good voice acting. The problem I have with it is you probably have to play for 20-30 hours until you realise what parts of the game to focus on and what's important. But when the game was pointing me in different directions I really didn't care for what I was doing. Find 3 of this, destroy 5 of that, Walk to this waypoint to pick up 6 of something else. Compared to mass effect 2 also from Bioware (although they are different games) you had direction, complicated rpg mechanics without becoming overbearing, a story that was involving and a polished fighting and powers. Dragon age is worse in every department.

You know, I couldn't get into it either. I'm a HUGE fan of RPGs, but it just felt.... empty? Early game combat seemed way way way too basic/simple/boring and it took too long to get into any of the actual fun quests. The dialog was often too long/boring for my taste as well. The lack of a storage box or something also killed the enjoyment for me since I was CONSTANTLY trying to figure out which items to keep and which to toss. The whole game just all felt like a chore to me.
I haven't touched it since that 'defend the hall' stage. It's the kind of game I might try and get back into if my internet ever goes out or something....
To save our Mother Earth from any alien attack
From vicious giant insects who have once again come back
We'll unleash all our forces we won't cut them any slack
The EDF deploys!!
Sadly have to agree. I borrowed the game off a friend, fortunately.
To offer a bit of context....I simply wasn't gripped and generally not interested. The main character was a bit of a drab (IMO), voice acting felt...rigid. Too many fetch quests. The world was 'open' but felt restrictive at the same time. I dunno. Like Kyleforrester87 alludes too, on paper it hits all the sweet spots (for me). I ended up skipping so much just to the end. Strange one this.
I do truly enjoy Dragon Age Origins more then any other in the series. Dragon Age Inquisition is a lot better then Dragon Age II, but that's not saying a whole lot since DA2 is one of my least favorite games ever made.

I just had a deja vu of what I was about to write, but then I saw more of what was to come, and realized I was only going to cause more confusion, so...I'm going to take that warning, and leave you with this- oh crap happened again, nvm...
(Not really on the second part, first part stands.)
Reading that just now was the hardest I've laughed all day.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
Wouldn't Enchanted Arms be one of the worst RPG's...the mechanics were a big mess. The voice acting was horrible, graphics not the best and the story line was horrible.
I have to agree 100%. I loved the first Dragon Age game and didn't bother with the second as the demo seemed far too much hack ', slash. I got Inquisition as the reviews raved about it. I played for about 3 hours and found it stupidly confusing and boring to be honest. There was far too much trudging through environments for ages to pick something up and take it back to the castle/fortress etc. I thought that maybe after I got to the bit where I built a new castle that the game would move up a gear, but, it stayed boring as hell. I found it virtually impossible to know which were the 'Story Quests' and what I was actually supposed to do. Then there were loads of quests that I wanted to do, but, couldn't as I didn't have enough Power and had to send somebody off to go somewhere to get something to gain 1 point of power!!!! Tried it, but, gave up
I still find myself going back to FFXIV and loving every minute of it. Struggling to get to Lvl 40 now though
Oh yeah, that title is clearly just trollish clickbait. No doubt about that. I don't care what you say, it's a functional game. That makes it far, faaaaar better than about 60% of the entire genre - yes, every every single RPG ever made, no exceptions - just based on that alone. Whether you enjoy it or not is another matter, but I highly question your tastes if you enjoy the likes of Two Worlds, Hydlide, and Unlimited SaGa more than this...
