...but you loved.

For me, Alien 3.

Your turn.

Added to my op, I thought it was a vastly underrated film, not worthy of Fincher turning his back on it.
And RIP Brian Glover.

90s Adam Sandler movies, Nic Cage action movies, quite a lot actually. My pick has to go to The Lake House, an incredibly sappy movie with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock which apparently has 35% on Rotten Tomatoes. It isn’t good but I quite like it.

Dredd.

Not that Stallone abortion but the 2012 version.

How this wasn't a major hit... I'll never know.

Titan A.E. There are plenty of films I disagree with critics on but I can at least understand where they’re coming from. I still think this is a genuinely great movie. Critics do not.

@hypnotoad haven’t seen it but I’ve been craving something spooky lately. Might give that a go. Thanks!

@Jimmer-jammer You'll love it, mate. One particular scene too.
And it has the ever brilliant Brad Dourif.

Jimmer-jammer

@hypnotoad I’ll check it out!

@nessisonett can’t agree on Sandler but I love me some Nic Cage, and I actually enjoyed The Lake House as well.

@Jimmer-jammer Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and Mr Deeds are classics. The rest… not so much.

@nessisonett For some reason my head went directly to Big Daddy, Eight Crazy Nights, The Waterboy, Little Nicky...think those were later though so when you lay it out as you did, I agree. Classics for sure.

@Jimmer-jammer Yeah, I think the only one from that slightly later time period that I actually enjoyed was probably 50 First Dates. Mostly because him and Drew Barrymore are great together. I also somehow missed out The Wedding Singer which is also a classic!

Transcendence. Movie got panned hard, but most of the reviewers seemed like they failed to understand it to begin with.

Escape Room. The premise is, admittedly, pretty dumb when you find out what's going on, but I found it to be fairly engaging and effective. Looking forward to seeing the sequel soon.

The Majestic was fantastic, but critics didn't like it for some reason.

Modern classic Japanese indie horror film Suicide Club apparently wasn't rated very highly either. What the hell!

And yeah, Alien 3 is great. The last actively good movie in that franchise.

I'm sure there are a lot of others, but those are what come to mind.

@hypnotoad lol Never seen Dredd, but the Stallone one is one of my favorite bad movies. I watch it every time I come across it on TV. I won't list it with the others, though. I recognize it's a terrible film.

@hypnotoad yeah Exorcist 3 was class!

Fight Club was initially panned by critics (particularly Roger Ebert), one of the best films of all time!

  • Venom
  • X-Men Apocalypse
  • Wonder Woman 1984
  • Alien 3 + 4 aka Resurrection

Henry:Portrait Of A Serial Killer.

Panned on its release but as time went by, seen as a horror classic.

Blade Runner was not well liked by critics origonaly. But over time, it was recognized as a true classic.

The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.

@PSVR_lover Funny, I was just thinking of that! Although I've kinda gone in reverse and the more I see it the less I like it.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

The Thing.
Slated by the moron critics but one of my fave films of all time.
