Wow, was very shocked to read that thread title. Rest in peace, Mrs. Doubtfire!
Yeah when I first heard about it I thought it was one of those fake celebrity death reports you hear about all the time, sadly though this is not the case. Going to have to watch Mrs Doutbfire, Hook and Aladdin tonight.

My brother is always calling me and saying he read on Facebook that some celebrity has died. He is wrong 9 out of 10 times. I was really hoping this was false info...
Robin Williams was a key figure in my growing up (90s child here) and it really shocked me to hear the news. The strange thing was that about an hour before I knew BBC Three showed the Family Guy episode where every one is turned into Robin Williams. He knew how to make me laugh. Plus, he was a huge gamer!
Sadly it's often the case. Tony Hancock was perhaps the funniest man to ever walk this earth yet killed himself. A desire to make others laugh often hides deep and dark problems. As for Robin, cheesy but we'll never again have a friend like him.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."

Addiction can manifest itself in a lot of ways. Hopefully he is happier now, I see suicide as a cowardly act but I still respect this man.
I've never understood why people think of suicide as cowardly. Takes an incredible amount of inner strength to go through the "STOP THIS NOW!" messages your instinct and brain are screaming at you - especially with asphyxiation. A 'coward' couldn't do that. I know you mean cowardly as a way of dealing with problems and leaving people behind, etc, but I still don't think it's cowardly. Makes me seem like I'm glamorising suicide, which of course I'm not.
