It seems not to happen on gaming boards but a lot of sites that have harassers and trolls that know you too well... Is this all to common to seperate cyberbullying from trolling?

dunno about others but i class them as different things cyberbullying is targeting an individual and harassing them across multiple sites, whereas trolling is someone playing unfunny jokes or just acting like an ass. (imo)

Yes bulling of any kind is different the trolling.

Bulling is more of a harmful thing trolling not so much.  Trolls are just looking for the lolz and the reaction while bullies are doing it for harmful reasons, whether it be physical or mental.  Bullies are doing it to knock someone down and to keep people back.

That would be called "cyber-stalking" or doxxing. Cyber-bullying is usually what they call internet fighting or "e-drama". Griefing, trolling, or flaming are usually done for the purpose of getting someone mad, or to elicit a response. On the other hand cyber-bullying doesn't have a clear definition but unless it comes in the form of a real threat such as leaking information or real world results then it is not a serious event as these comments can be blocked, and it is up to the user whether they choose to continue receiving these messages or not.

Trolling is synonymous with pranking to me, but over the internet instead of real life. Like some pranks, sometimes people's sense of humor goes too far and they do things just to piss people off. Apparently some people have some a twisted sense of humor and go as far as stalking you, flaming all your accounts to spam your email with notifications that you got a message from them, and sending you fake death threats, only to claim "they were just trolling." I call that being a ****. It happened to me a way back and I got pretty mad, but I can see why I did even if I wouldn't get mad today. Regardless it's wrong, and that's when it starts to approach the dark area of cyberbullying, where the intent is specifically to abuse others. Because of the aformentioned case and others like it, some have related trolling to such behavior. I reserve trolling as a description for pranks others can admire and laugh at, that term is far too kind for the cringe-worthy things only an idiot would enjoy.
