Never thought I would see this day!! It may or may not make a huge difference in the long run, but it's nice to see after the Konami debacle. They also released a new trailer for KOF14,.....again it doesn't look the greatest yet, but since they have some of the SF4 development head shed of board, I'm not counting it out either.

Now give us Garou: Mark of the Wolves on PS4 PSN!

Yeah it happens people don't realize that these companies are businesses and Japanese ones at that and in Japan that is where the money is. It's nothing against gamers or anything it's business.

I want to see something good out of that Chinese investment. Looking forward to KOF14 and another Fatal Fury installment.

To be honest I don't think we will see another Garou unfortunately, although Mark of the Wolves, along with Real Bout Special and Real Bout 2, are probably my favorite SNK fighting games (along with The Last Blade 2).

From SNK's viewpoint though, why do Fatal Fury when you have KOF?, which will sell multiple times better due to the name and still has the most popular Fatal Fury characters included.......you mentioned Garou 2 in your last post, and that's probably exactly what happened in the early 2000's......they decided to use their very limited resources at the time to work on a new KOF vice finishing up Garou 2.

Never been the biggest fan of neo geo games other than the console remade games. The difficulty in the arcades was always set way high. I considered getting an X console (I think it was called that) but the games come on an sd card and its meant to be pretty flimsy and the handheld is meant to be garbage. Pity really Metal Slug (other than the insta death bits) and one of the king of fighters games was really good.

Any chance we will see an anthology collection for ps4 with 10+ games?

Most, if not all (including all Neo Geo MVS titles) have a difficulty option in settings, and other stuff like blood on / off or time.

Of course arcade operators fiddled with difficulty dip switches or settings, they wanted your money!!

@sub12: Not for me - if I was to make a cab it would be a great idea. I looked into buying one for my back room and even about making one myself - but I wouldn't play it to warrant the outlay (£900 myself / £1250 bought in + a large delivery charge) As far as I'm aware none of the money goes to the license holders or makers of the games. That's why an anthology would be a great idea. Bought metal slug 4 and finished it a couple of times on ps4 - massive downside is there's no level select.
Neo geo made a golf game I liked it had a top down view mostly with 3d for the swing graphics. But again that was hard too.

@sub12: I never said they weren't good - they were. Boss graphics and gameplay. What I said was the arcade games were always set too difficult so I never became a fan. Also they always cost more to play at my local arcade - 50p a go for the neo geo games compared to 20p for the cps2 and Sega games. Puzzle Bobble and Outrun were Taito and Sega properties as well alluding to your comment. Outrun coast to coast and bust a move 4 are possibly in my top 100 games of all time.

Ok guys the MAME and emulation talks need to stop as it's not allowed here. If you feel the need to discuss it there are plenty of other places to discuss that sort of thing.

@themcnoisy: You can always look into a consolelized MVS Neo Geo. They run about 400 to 500 dollars but the cartridges are alot cheaper then the AES.

It's actually 650 right now, but the non-black wood model may be the best looking console ever made.

@sub12: The Omega one by Arcade works is 500 atm. And it runs pretty good. That's the one I got.
