I love a good pair of earbuds. After my beloved mh1c took an arrow to the knee I've been using my Z1s pack in earphones-which, for in the box mobile phone earphones aren't bad, but lack any real punch or depth.
So, I was in the market for something new to put on my listeners.
I bought the SBH80 a couple of days ago as they released, and I must say, they are quite fantastic.
I've used a few bluetooth headsets in my time, the last one being Sony's MW600. That was a pretty great device, but still suffered the telltale hum of being an A2DP streamer.
With the SBH80, you really wouldn't know that you were using a bluetooth headset. The audio is crystal clear connected to my Z1, and Vita.
Music is deep and rich, great bass response and plenty of range for the highs too. The aptx technology is really something special.

It really is a remarkable step forward, and I expect other manufacturers to emulate what Sony has achieved with the SBH80.
It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. The main unit, in line controls and the earbud casings are made of some magnesium alloy, and feel strong but very lightweight.

All in all, an excellent product that easily matches some wired earbuds in the same price range. I see many an audiophile being liberated from wired connections in the near future!
