"A corpse... should be left well alone. Oh, I know very well. How the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now. Liberate you, from your wild curiosity." - Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower.
@kyleforrester87 It’s not too bad for tourists actually. The high street can get busy in peak summer but it’s easy to avoid and the highest density of people tend to be on the river for boat trips which is far enough away for me not to notice unless I take the dog that way.
The roads around Devon can get pretty bad around summer though and the local beaches almost impossible to use. I think the overflow car park at our nearest one has almost a thousand spaces (the main car park being just over 100).
MLB The Show simulations at the start of the playoffs has correctly predicted two of the last three World Series champions. Maybe they’re doing something right over at Sony San Diego.

Just saw the article on the main page about PlayStation removing Twitter support.
Kind of sad for me as that’s been the way I’ve shared screenshots and videos for ages. I use a throwaway account to do so and it’s quite a nice museum of shots where I can go back and find ones from ages ago if I want.
Lots of comments saying they use the PS app instead but it only saves shots for 2 weeks. Are people saving them to their phone/the cloud from there or something?
@Thrillho Yeah, there’s a simple button press to download the shot from the app to your photos (at least on iPhone) and then it will obviously be backed up to the cloud whenever your phone does the scheduled back-up.
If you have an Apple computer then you can probably easily airdrop it from photos onto the computer if you don’t want to haul around a bunch of screenshots on your phone. I don’t do that personally but I expect it would be easy enough.

Giving guitar a rest for a while. Just dropped my first album on Spotify (as a playlist). Maybe an EP based on covers of hip hop beats will follow years later. I'm incredibly proud of it. I think that it falls under the free jazz/free improvisation category. Not for everyone as guitar is the only instrument involved but yeah. the hip hop covers EP will feature more instrumentation.
Fully committed to Demon's Souls now, in addition to the remainder of my backlog, continuing to work as a volunteer for a charity based in the UK, and exploring literature, magazines and 1970s African American culture themed movies. Feels like a load off my mind.

@TheBrandedSwordsman Congratulations! Glad to hear you’re happy with it. I’ll give it a listen when I can.
Totally different era and genre but have you seen ‘Stormy Weather?’ One of only a couple of Hollywood films released in that decade with an all black cast. Growing up, my dad was a big Lena Horne fan and it remains one of my favourites. Back to the 70’s, have you seen ‘The Wiz?’ A pretty great motown production if you’re into that kind of thing.
@Jimmer-jammer Thanks for the recommendations man, not really into musicals, but thanks anyway. I was going to ask you something else as a matter of fact, but I'll ask you in the appropriate thread. See you over there!
Edit: And thanks for what you said about my album, hopefully you'll like what you hear.
Edit 2: The two 1970s African American culture themed movies that I've seen and really enjoyed recently were Black Gunn and Coffy. Quite action-packed.
@TheBrandedSwordsman No dramas, friend. I have free Spotify so I’ll be sure to make time to check it out. I’m seriously in a jazz rabbit hole at the moment, all other genres have fallen by the wayside.
We’re playing The Plucky Squire this month, join us!
It's crazy that some stores here in Sweden have already started with Black Friday sales. I was so confused on Thursday as I got a lot of e-mails about Black Friday starting tomorrow. I was like, isn't it at the end of the month? I feel like they keep extending the period of the sales every year. First it was on Friday as well as the weekend, then it became the entire week and now it's almost the entire month.
I think it's okay with an entire week because it's annoying as hell when everybody visits a site all at once and it starts lagging a lot. Spreading it out more is a good idea. But starting this early makes the sales feel less special.
@LtSarge Some physical stores here in the UK have been doing Black Friday sales all month. And selling Christmas stuff since the end of September. It is largely cos they are struggling at the moment, and this time of year is when they can make the most profit, so they like to extend the festive season boat out as much as possible.
Have no idea if all that applies for online sites though!
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder Ah interesting that it's like that in the UK as well, but your explanation makes sense.
On a side note, hopefully there will be some better deals as we get closer towards the actual date since the deals I've seen so far have been rather disappointing.
I have one week to finish my story telling diorama and I have to practice the dialogues during this week.
Also, I have to draw again some pictures to tell the situation from the story telling.
@LtSarge@JohnnyShoulder A lesser known fact is that the term “Black Friday” (originally referring to the day following Thanksgiving here in the States, which is always the fourth Thursday of November) actually is called that because it’s the day most businesses finally go “into the black” on their ledgers for the year, or in other words, start making a profit for the year. I had always thought it was called Black Friday because it was an ominous horrible day with crowds of people at retail who start lining up outside the stores before dawn, ready to storm the place and fight for sale items, thereby uncovering the darkest side of humanity. 😅
