4-0 by the end I think. Germany are one of those teams that you just can't give any decent chances. They're too clinical and efficient for most teams to handle, definitely a team to watch as always.
Why do you think he should play though? What does he offer? There's better players in all positions than Rooney who never, *ever* performs when it matters most.
He's 10 goals shy of being England's greatest ever goalscorer (I think?), was United's best performer by far last season (albeit in a poor team), and is, in my opinion, capable of changing games on his own. I get the criticism about him not turning up to the big matches, but I think you lose more than you gain by leaving him out.
I'd have said De Gea was the Manc's starman. Would have lost double the amount of games without him. He really improved from a dreadful first eight months at OT. Wayne has been average at best for two years now (since that wonderful - hurts writing that - season he had the year City won the league with the last kick of the season). I was personally delighted you played him against us on the weekend as it's too easy against him. He's lost what made him special and for too long now has only turned up in dead rubber games. He's at the stage now where he's an option off the bench who could change things. He wouldn't get in any of the big teams squads, let alone first XIs.
On another note, my oh my, Germany look good. Get someone in for Ozil and they could win this competition. Nice to see perennial losers Portugal reminding us just how awful they are. Rooney would get in this team
Germany will probably scoop all 9 points in their group now. Every time they attack they just seem so deadly -- they play great football. Just hope they don't choke in the later stages of the tournament like they usually do.

Germany (disciplined adults) vs Portugal (impetuous children) the obvious antics of Muller are disgusting but Sepp Blatter will need to gotten rid of before we sort that out, vile creature.

Muller is smart. Pepe is a child who was to stupid to not react.

Muller's play acting was a disgrace and Pepe was a pathetic child, as Roy Keane would say 'that wasn't even a proper headbutt'

Like most players arent acting? schwalbe much huh:P Still Germany destroyed Portugal even if they played with 11 players
Yeah Muller knew exactly what he was doing, but Pepe was completely stupid for moving his head like that. Imagine coming all the way to the World Cup, after all that qualifying, all that travelling, and then doing something that dumb. He's put his whole team's chances in danger, and it's frankly a disgrace for a player who's so experienced.
