@KratosMD That's what I keep hearing from people that it has exceeded their expectations. Looking forward to catching up with that and all the Arrowverse shows as well.

Altered Carbon (Netflix original) - Big budget sci-fi mystery drama that was actually really interesting. Visually it draws a lot from Blade Runner, and the CGI is really good for a TV series. It has a unique premise and story that kept me guessing, and I really loved the character of Poe.
Also, I want to mention that they rebooted freakin' Reboot (the irony, lol). It'll probably suck, as based on the trailer, they've went a little too far in terms of "reimagining" it, but as a fan of the original I can't not at least check it out, and it goes to show that nothing is too far removed for the reboot treatment.

I don't know maybe I was at that age when cartoons weren't cool anymore but I never understood the hype for Reboot. Then again I always enjoyed hand drawn animation over CG.

@Tasuki, To be honest, it's been years since I last saw Reboot (probably back when Cartoon Network was still airing reruns in the early 00's). Never saw it when it first came out, but got into it when it was paired up with Dragon Ball Z in the earliest days of Toonami (I was about 8 years old at the time).
While I liked it as a kid, and remembered it from time to time, it's not something I'd have ever thought would have the kind of following to be reboot material, but apparently it was the first ever completely CGI half hour TV program (it was by the same company that would go on to make Transformers: Beast Wars, after the first couple seasons of Reboot), which is why some see it as a big deal.

Kantaro: the Sweet Tooth Salaryman (Netflix original) - Japanese comedy series that follows the exploits of a book salesman who works around his sales visits to play hooky to eat at sweet shops. He's perfected his technique to such perfection that he's actually the top salesman in the company, and thus everyone is out to discover his secret. It's actually pretty funny.
ReBoot: the Guardian Code (Netflix original) - In the age of the reboot it was only a matter of time until ReBoot got the treatment (and a bit ironic), but it widely misses the mark. They largely cast aside the cast of the original series (though they do pop up, bringing the series some of it's only good moments), and instead focus on a group of real world high schoolers who are chosen to enter the digital realm and protect the internet as "next generation guardians" (it's essentially cyber Power Rangers). This means that roughly half of each episode is live action, which is not only disappointing considering the pedigree of the original series (it was the first fully CG TV program), but in practice these scenes are cheesy at best & boring at worst. Furthermore, even their cyber adventures are rather dull and lacking in scope. While in the original series each computer system was represented by a fully functioning city, here the locales are envisioned as single structures disperately floating in space (I.e. The UK's power grid system is just a small power station floating by itself). Even the citizens of cyberspace are completely robotic in nature (both in design and lack of personality). It's telling how lazy they were when you realize that only the imports from the original series (many of which only appear in the final episode) have facial animation (kind of ironic considering how "archaic" the main cast considers Mainframe, despite it being the most fully realized location shown off). Furthermore, the fact that they take a blatant potshot at the hardcore fanbase of the original series (which comes out of nowhere) probably kills whatever goodwill the show may have had going for it.

So started watching this seeasons Arrow now that it's on Netflix here in the States. So far kinda a mixed bag. Don't get me wrong I am enjoying it but it's really nothing new. It seems that the more this show goes on the quicker they run out of ideas for it. After Arrow I plan to watch Flash, then Legends, then Supergirl and finally @KratosMD I will get to season 2 of Riverdale.

@KratosMD So I made it half way through the second season of Riverdale and I am enjoying it alot. I finished the whole arc with the Black Hood and just like the first season had me guessing till the end. I also like seeing Jughead's change in this season as well. I am also really enjoying Hiram Lodge he's turning out to be one of those guys that you love to hate. I will agree with what I have heard and read that this season is turning out better then the last even though the last season was not bad at all. Everytime I start watching an episode I find myself binging on Riverdale lol. The last few times I didn't even want to go to sleep I wanted to keep watching it.

Although I tend not binge watch much stuff, admittedly it is better having the option to watch more than one episode a week. This is especially true when it comes to episodes that end on a cliffhanger, I much prefer not waiting a week (or longer if there is a mid season break) to find out what happens. I've noticed The Walking Dead is particularly guilty of this.

@KratosMD So yeah made it through that musical episode and like you I wasn't a big fan of it definitely this season's weakest episode but it did have some good parts that moved this season's plot so I will give it that.

It really was finely crafted piece of television - and made even better by actually wrapping up in a satisfying ending.
It was shown on one of the itv channels here in the UK - so likely escaped a lot of people's notice, but I would heartily recommend it.
The 1980's cold war setting is largely wonderfully realised. It just 'is' - and much to its merit, it never feels like a gratuitous 80's nostalgia trip.
The characterisations are well rounded and the exploration of the roles and motivations of the incumbent KGB operatives and FBI agents is explored well. It is one of those dramas that is probably much closer to real life events than people might expect.
As a series, I would have loved The Americans to carry on, but it ended with grace and in keeping with the trajectory of the characters and backdrop of real world events.
Highly recommended.

Finished Riverdale tonight and my God what a great ending to a great season. I will agree and say this season is better then the last ( not that the last was bad mind you) and the way they set things up for next season makes me kinda upset now that I have to wait a whole year for the next one. Easily one of my favorite shows.

@KALofKRYPTON yeah i shared it yesterday (UK time) although i completely forgot we had a TV thread so i posted it on the Chit-Chat one instead
EDIT: there are rumours going around that a new show would have Patrick Stewart in it (as a main or guest) so if that's true it would have to be a post Nemesis/Countdown series

@KratosMD Cool, glad it turned out ok as I remember you saying you were finding it boring.
I'm watching all the Netflix Marvel stuff in chronological order so have still got Iron fist and the Defenders to watch before I get to that. Hopefully it won't go over to Disney's streaming service before I get round to it.
