So another year will be at its end soon, so I thought it would be fun to take this time to reflect on what games I have beat this year. Figured it would also be interesting to share what we have beat this year as well. So list any games you have beaten no matter what system/platform they are on. Hopefully you all had a good a year of gaming.
PS4 Infamous Second Son Lego Marvel The Wolf Among Us Thief Strider
Wii U Chronicles of Mystara
3DS Mega Man V Warioland II
XBox 360 Double Dragon Neon
That's all I can remember for now. It doesn't feel like alot but for one thing I have a bad habit of starting games and not finishing them mainly cause I start too many games at one time. Also most of the games that I play I rent from Gamefly.
Maybe my New Years resolution will be to finish all the games I have started.
So what games have you all beat in 2014?
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
inFAMOUS: Second Son LittleBigPlanet 3 The Evil Within Alien Isolation Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments inFAMOUS First Light Counter Spy Tearaway The Walking Dead: S1 and S2 Valiant Hearts PS Vita Pets Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition Outlast The Last of Us: Left Behind
In hindsight, it looks like more than I thought. The problem is that I've got about 15 other games that I've started and haven't finished.
Crap, not much comes to mind when I think about gaming in 2014...
Let's see: - Borderlands 2 - Destiny (most likely) - Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (it's a rental at best) - DBZ HD Collection (Got me pumped for Xenoverse) - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - Soul Sacrifice Delta (Not all of it, but the story) - Toukiden (Again not all of it, the story) - Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (not difficult right?) - Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (Peace Walker was completed in its entirety, those insane difficulty missions were done solo, 2 & 3 was completed in true stealth and no kills) - MGS4 (I managed to get the Big Boss Enblem, which was previously impossible I thought) - Pokemon Omega Ruby (Recently) - Pokemon White 2 (Very soon)
"They played us like a damn fiddle!" - MGS5
"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA
Currently Playing: The Phantom Pain.
Really not done too well this year, with a lot of stuff outside of this left unfinished and, in the case of half my PS3 backlog, unstarted! Anyway, the list for 2014 as it stands is:
PS3: Shadow of the Colossus Crysis 3 Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Tomb Raider The Wolf Among Us Thomas Was Alone
PS4: MGS V: Ground Zeroes AC IV: Black Flag Contrast Killzone Shadow Fall Stick It To The Man FFXIV: A Realm Reborn (obviously not eeeeeeverything, but all of the initial pre-patch main storyline quests) Entwined The Last of Us Remastered
PS Vita: Tearaway Uncharted: Golden Abyss Gravity Rush Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes FFX HD (PLATINUM - YAY XD) Muramasa Rebirth AC III Liberation
3DS: Super Mario 3D Land Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Pokémon X Pokémon Omega Ruby Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call
(EDIT: although Inquisition will likely prevent the completion of more console games before year end, two 10-11 hour train journeys up to and back from Scotland next week should give me some time to polish off another game or 2 on the Vita / 3DS)
My aim for next year will definitely be to a) give more love to my PS4 (although it's hard to play anything else when DA: Inquisition is so damn engrossing), and b) knuckle down and finish some of the games (many of them brilliant) that I've started this year and neglected to finish, worst offenders in this category being Persona 4 Golden and FFVI on the Vita.
Really what I should do is to set aside a month or 2 to really burn down my PS3 backlog, but I just can't envision myself having the time for that any time soon!

Games I beat for the first time? Let's see. Batman: Arkham Asylum. inFamous: Second Son (100% Evil side and all of the paper trail) inFamous: First Light Injustice Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Octodad: Dealiest Catch Need for Speed: Rivals
Games I've beat through replaying them: Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Uncharted 2 Uncharted 3 Transformers: Fall of Cybertron 007: Blood Stone
The list (espcially the first) would be bigger, but I've started so many games (Castlevania: SOTN, Dust: An Elysian Trail, Thomas was Alone, ect. so many...) and not finished them due to getting distracted or bored. I've also played a few games that are hard to really beat, but take up a huge amount of time or games that I've just played a rediculous amount (looking at Second Son).
I've just made a start on a Backloggery account. This is terrifying, and really flags up some bad habits I have in terms of starting games without finishing them. Worrying as it is though, I think actually having some sort of measure of my progress with my backlog is going to be really useful, and should drive me to go back and crash through more of it than I have done this year!

Not a lot of new gaming projects this year, but when you have to juggle a job with doing your Masters part time that's kinda what happens.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

Since the year is not over I hope I can add a few more games, at least one from Xbox One.
@Jairo_MC you sir, have had the kind of year I can only dream of. Bravo! Although reading through your list I realised I must edit mine to add one in - how could I forget TFF: Curtain Call?!

@SteveButler2210 This year I decided that I should inishing most of the games I buy so I don't end up with a huge backlog. I also tend to favour my 3DS as I always get the new releases, and frankly, it's my go to gaming machine. I also don't like doing side stuff which helps a lot. Some games, however, I enjoy playing to death. TFF: Curtain Call is one of them and I play it at least 3 days a week. Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros get played almost every weekend and I'm still not bored by Bayonetta 2.

I haven't beaten alot of games this year. Mostly because I can't afford games at the moment. But I've beaten the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, replaying MGS2 and playing Snake Eater and Peace Walker for the first time, and I got 100% on Crash 1 for the first time, an accomplishment to me since I never beat the game in my childhood.

Soon many others I'm still working on at the moment. Almost beat Far Cry 4 when I got distracted with Dragon Age Inquisition, which I'm now over halfway through. Was pluggin away at Darksiders 2 and Captain Toad the other day too. And Zelda Skyward Sword and Metroid Other M. Hopefully catch up on some backlog in 2015. [Looks at games coming out this year]... Ok, there's no way I'm catching up on backlog this year.

inFamous Second Son

Resogun
Injustice Gods Among Us
2014 Games Unfinished/Completing:
Assassins Creed Unity
The Last Of Us: Left Behind

Waiting For Dragon Age Inquisition to come ship from Amazon
I surprisingly have gone through plentiful games. I often think of my backlog of what I haven't completed rather than what I have completed. This makes me think of how much I have invested financially into my hobby.
