@darkswabber I played nearly the entirely of Borderlands 2 on the Vita. The cross-save functionality worked great though if you have the PS3 version as well. Of course comparing the two versions side by side, playing it on PS3 was a superior experience due to better visuals and having the DS3 controller, but the Vita version was perfectly serviceable and so I did the majority of it on the handheld for the portability, convenience, and just the sheer wonder that they could squeeze the entire game, including DLC, onto that tiny unit. I personally highly recommend it if you are looking for something for your Vita. The frame rate does drop, the visuals are a little less detailed, the enemy corpses just sort of explode or disintegrate when killed, if I recall, rather than spewing blood and collapsing more realistically. There is a little lag sometimes as background is drawn in, I think too. I don’t recall anything being broken though, and it ran surprisingly well for the accomplishment of having a PS3 game on the Vita.

Even if it does run st 15FPS, I’d still say go for it as I ruddy love the game. I still have the PS4 remake to play at some point after playing the pre sequel at the beginning of the year.
@KALofKRYPTON@Th3solution@Thrillho I read that all the dlc code vouchers expired in 2016 and that sony can be a pain with replacing them in some countries. I wanted to do a mechromancer run though, would it still be worth it?
@darkswabber I never played the mechromancher class. I had plenty of fun playing the Siren. And I don’t know about the code vouchers expiring, although I wouldn’t be surprised. You could buy the game digitally and then I would assume all the DLC, including the mechromancer class, will be included without the need for a voucher code. It looks like the digital copy is going for $20 on the PlayStation store. I would actually think finding a physical copy is going to be really difficult right about now anyways.

@Th3solution I stopped buying digital all together back in january and I’m trying to replace all my digital purchases with physical copies.
A local game store recently had their final vita restock, restocking around 200 vita games, they’re on sale right now and I can get borderlands for €15. Currently they only have about 150 different games of those 200 left and most are almost sold out so I’m trying to get as much out of it as possible before vita games become rare altogether.
Any games you’d say I should buy before it’s too late?
I currently own
Lego the hobbit
Lego the movie
Lego ninjago nindroids
Lego chima
Disgaea 3
Disgaea 4
Mortal kombat 9
God of war collection
Touch my katamari
Earth defensd force 2
Unit 13
Resistance burning skies
World of final fantasy
Muramasa rebirth
Persona 4 golden
Littlebigplanet marvel superheroes edition.
And I’m planning on buying
Assassins creed liberation
Cod black ops declassified
Killzone mercs
Uncharted golden abyss
Freedom wars
Gravity rush
Wipeout
Modnation racers
Odin sphere
Metal gear collection
Batman Arkham blackgate
Lego ninjago spinjitzu
Dynasty warriors 8
And borderlands 2 ofcourse.
Anything I should definitilly add to that list? Any ports? Exclusives? Remasters? (Once again important note, even though I own all playstation and nintendo consoles I priortise all switch and vita ports over home console versions no matter how superiour they can be)
@darkswabber Oh, yeah, then you definitely want to just buy the physical version of BL2, even if the code is expired as I see now you’re building a collection. I still have my physical copy of BL2 and many of those you’ve listed.
I would add the Danganronpa games (3 mainline games and one offshoot) and Zero Escape games (Zero Escape has the first 2 games and then Zero Time Dilemma) if you have any interest at all in excellent visual novels with innovative puzzle elements. Highly recommend picking those up.
The only other that comes to mind that has a physical Vita copy is Dragon’s Crown. It just got a PS4 upgrade, but plays well on Vita.

@darkswabber Oh, I might add FF X / X-2 HD which is available on Vita. It would be a nice one to add to your collection too. I’ve considered it myself, even though I played them before.

@darkswabber
I was thinking along the same lines as you too. Especially after I'd sold on a lot of them. Now I pick them up where I see them cheap and whatever Limited Run, Play Asia or whatever exclusives I have spare cash for pop up.
Recently missed out on Another World which was a shame.
Anyway, my physicals are:
Borderlands 2
Space Hulk
Aergis of Earth
P4DAN
Lego TFA
Odin Sphere
Shinobido 2
Lumines
GoW Collection
Killzone
Michael Jackson exp
Fifa
Virtua Tennis
WipeOut
Rayman Origins
Velocity 2X
Of the not general/standard release stuff I have:
Shantae Half Genie Hero
Soldner X 2
Thomas Was Alone
Retro City Rampage
Axiom Verge
Dariusburst CS
Bit Trip Runner 2
As for grabbing before it's too late... Shinobido 2 doesn't come up much, and any late releases are worth getting. And obviously, if you ever see a copy of MMA Supremecy cheap--buy it immediately! 😂
Limited Run issues obviously have their appeal, and price tag to match on the second hand market - but you do occasionally come across a bargain. Loads of great Vita games to have as physicals.
I've promised myself a little splurge at some point to get a couple of the ones I'll definitely play like Windjammers and Stranger's Wrath.
Of you go for FF X/X-2 as @Th3solution suggests, buy new - X2 is a download code.

@darkswabber Gaige is a fun character to play, she is currently my highest level character. Depending on which build you play she can be pretty easily to play or complicated. Sometimes Deathtrap can bug out as well and cause stupid deaths. But other then that she can be quite easy and fun to play.

@Th3solution if I do ff X/X-2 I’ll probably buy it used. I already have it digital and X-2 is a download code anyway, might give the code to X-2 away.
I thought about danganronpa and zero escape but I usually search online for the best moral outcome which ruins the game, but for some reason I can’t keep myself from looking.
@KALofKRYPTON I will definitilly keep an eye out of LRG and other rare games, the store I usually buy my vita games isn’t allowed to stock LRG.
@Tasuki gaige is my go to character in singleplayer BL2 runs (jack in TPS and roland in BL1), that’s also why I want gaige on vita, I’m planning on doing a SP run. And seeing how stubborn 2K is towards the switch I think it’s a safer bet to buy it on vita rather than wait for a switch port.
@darkswabber I shouldn't think most retail stores would.
You can sign up to LRG and get reminders for when they're up. It's usually not that hard to grab a release these days as they usually do a couple of batches separated by a day or two.

@darkswabber It's not that they are stubborn with a port to the Switch. I believe it's a few factors that is keeping it from the Switch. Two of the reasons is that Gearbox is currently working on Boarderlands 3 the other more likely reason is due to the low sales of The Handsome Collection on PS4 and Xbox One they feel.that they will lose even more money porting it on the Switch.

@Tasuki yeah, I think general interest in the borderlands games has faded a bit in general. I’m sure BL3 won’t sell as much as 2 did, TPS was quite a good game but sold poorly too. If I recall correctly they planned 4 story expansion for TPS too but went with 1 due to poor sales.
Which is a shame as the game is great for multiple markets. It has childish humour, don’t like it than it still is a great shooter, don’t like shooters but like rpg’s? The game is still for you. Don’t like any of these 3 but like co-op experiences or local couch co-op, still a game for you.
I guess that even though they’re really popular games they’re still greatly underapreciated and underated.
@darkswabber The problem with the Pre Sequel is it felt more like DLC then a new game in the series. The problem with the Handsome Collection is that they release it too soon on the current gen systems. If they would have waited till say around last year it probably would have sold better. But most people just played and bought it on previous gen consoles when it was released so they passed on it.
