Thats good news for a prospective Vita purchaser. I can buy one as low as £99 now preowned so Ive been really tempted lately. I might see whats on the horizon at Gamescom before getting one, then again I wanna play Persona 4 so I might end up getting one sooner anyway
I wouldn't expect anything mind blowing to be announced. They'll likely just push more advertising on the games that are lined up for release (nearly all of which we already know about).
I don't expect much out of Vita until PS4 is released. After that, I think we'll see some mind blowing games/uses of the Vita.
I'll be completely honest and say that I feel like I'm ready for a Vita 2. I've got a TON of gameplay and usage out of my Vita but I also feel that it's already at the limit of what it can do as a standalone device. It sounds selfish, but I'd love to see something far more powerful with a bit of refinement here and there.
To save our Mother Earth from any alien attack
From vicious giant insects who have once again come back
We'll unleash all our forces we won't cut them any slack
The EDF deploys!!
Awesome, just awesome... Somewhere i knew E3 was all about ps4
Lets just hope this is actually true and not Sony blowing smoke up everyone's a$$es. I'd like to give benefit of the doubt but to this point it seems like Sony is indifferent to the platform.

Gamer83 ... I hope so. I have heavily invested in the vita ( 20 games currently at retail and 15 downloadable)

I have 11 retail games so not quite as many as you but I've downloaded a ton of stuff off PSN including a decent number of PS Mobile games so yeah, I'm also heavily invested in the system and want it to succeed. It's all up to Sony though and I'm still not seeing that strong marketing push that I'd like.

Thats so weird about sony... If they see 3ds they should know that there is a market. You have to invest money to make money. Third party is not going to do anything till the thing sells

That's the thing with Sony. It does a lot of things right, there's other times though that the decision making just leaves me thinking WTF.

This is a common mistake. I work at a bank in the Netherlands and sometimes i see decision being made that i think WTF are you kidding me?
Well, right now i have doubts about that after E3 went. It was rather disappointing.
I hope i don't have to resort to seling it. If sony at gamescom announce some orginal titles and not ports or rehashes, then i will be happy to keep it!

I am glad that I was not the ONLY one who was able to look beyond the two-hour long PS4-dedicated presentation. What were people expecting, that 3 days could fit into 2 hours? Or that SONY didn't need to prioritize the PS4 during this E3?
Advice: Keep your expectations low, like I did during the E3. Go for the worst-case scenario, then everything that follows will be a blessing.
God, I shouldn't even tell people this. Because it is blatantly obvious.
Somebody on NeoGAF made a very important point, something I also was thinking about:
DiscoJer
There seem to be two camps.
Do you love Indie games and ports of classic games?
Do you want original AAA games and ports of newer games (like Borderlands 2 and Diablo 3 and XCOM)?
If you fall into the former, you are happy to be a Vita owner. If you fall into the latter, you are probably despairing (with the exception of Killzone)
He's absolutely right. Guess that's why I am more than happy with the system. Not everybody has access to a console. Not everybody is interested in GTA.
I'll be strapped for cash for most of the year considering PS4's release, but having KZ, tearaway, arkham origins blackgate, and a few others is more than enough to last me until then. I just want KZ right NOW D:<
