@Arminillo: haven't played either but as far as I know Ys is an action rpg played in real time whereas Lunar is a more traditional turn-based rpg, so I guess whichever style of gameplay you like more go with that I have heard good things about both so I guess you can't go wrong, I personally picked up Lunar ages ago but haven't got around to playing it, it seemed a more interesting game than Ys did at the time. Also maybe compare their regular prices and see which one is usually dearer, then you might be able to pick up the cheaper one at another time
well thats a tough decision i would say you owe it to yourself to buy both if you can
because both games are stellar
Ys 7 is an amazing Action RPG with a lighthearted but intriguing story and some really likeable characters, an awesome soundtrack and a fast, action paced gameplay that is tactical and highly addictive and responsive - Id say its one of the best Action RPGs ever made - there even are towns to explore, many (good) dialogue to read and some really huge areas to explore - all are extremely well done and feature lots of variation
Lunar is more of a "traditional" JRPG, it has a turn based combat system, some of the best casts out of any JRPGs ever made, its crafted with love and every little piece of it oozes charme, its a lenghty adventure with a vide array of areas to explore, and it has an intriguing story as well
I own both and I would say - go for Ys, you wont regret it, its more Action Paced and the combat and controls are just awesome, its also a very lenghty adventure too - but pls do yourself a favour and get Lunar too, if not now then just save it for later, its one of those JRPGs every Fan of the genre just HAS to have played once, because the characters are just too adorable and likeable, hardly any other JRPG features such a great and lively cast - highly entertaining
