Topic: How do you download PS one classics to the PS vita

I just want to know and do you have to have a ps3 to get them.I do not have a ps3.

Go to the store look for them and if they say they are for the Vita then buy them.

So if it is under the ps3/psp/PS vita I can buy those

If it says Vita then yes. As long as you have one of those systems you can buy and play it.

I get a ps4 around 2018-2020

@andrew20: On vita if you goto the store, the only games that show up are vita games. Click on ps1 or psp and bobs your uncle. Also go and buy a ps4 why wait until 2018?? That seems crazy to me.

The price goes down and more games to pick I do not like to spend more than 200 for a console.

@andrew20: Well I'm pretty sure there are deals out there now for under £300, and there's already a fair amount of great content out there. I have to agree with @themcnoisy, it seems a bit mad to me that you'd be willing to deprive yourself of all the great content coming out for another 3-5 years, for the sake of under £100! It's not like it'll take you another 3 years to save an extra £100, just go light on the beer and takeaways for a month or two and you're there haha

True, but the majority of games are purchased for their single player merits, and those that are online focused will see increasingly dwindling communities on PS3 as people make the jump to next gen. Also, you have a Vita as well, so included in that one annual payment you would be getting a minimum of 4 games a month (often more if they thow in cross-buy titles) across the PS4 and PSV to add to your collection.

So i also want to know what are the best ps one and psp games to get on the ps vita.

@andrew20: That's a tough question, there are tons of quality games. I will give a quick rundown of games that will still be playable as a modern gamer never before played ps1 games... Here goes.

Final Fantasy 9 - RPG
I would say 7 or 8 out of nostalgia but 9 as its the only one my son will play.

Ridge Racer Type 4 - Car racing
Not easy to go back to after playing driveclub and forza but once you get into the mood you can literally play for days, its just a good laugh especially in the more difficult teams, and the tune "the ride" is epic.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater - Skill
What a game, pity they ran the series into the ground. The original game is great and the courses are the best in the series. Horse is an excellent game mode and is a surprise that template isn't copied more.

Soul Blade - fighting
A great game unfortunately eclipsed by the outstanding soul calibur but still well worth a shot,deeper depth for single player on the vita compared to Tekken so I would choose sb.

Anna Kournikovas Smash Court Tennis - sport
The only game I have played every year since 1997 and imo the best multi player tennis game ever. I recently lost my copy but still have the case, it was a sad day when i realised it was gone.

And since you plan on getting a PS3; you can play the PS1 games you bought on Vita, on your PS3 as well, no need to buy them again!

And really, there are a TON of great PS1 games...really depends on what kind of genres you like playing?

I went onto the online store and if the PS one game says for ps3,psp,PS vita that means it works on the vita also if the game is on the PS vita store is for the vita.

Nope, thankfully not! IIRC, you can download the same game on 5 (or was it changed to 3? I think I read that somewhere a few years ago) different consoles (you do have to use the same account ofcourse).

First game I bought via the store was Final Fantasy 8 (my fave of the series).
So when I got a PSP, downloaded it on that too...PSP got sold, got myself a Vita, and now it's on my Vita (which I will NEVER sell! Damn, I love my Vita)

That idiotic system is only for Nintendo. I had the same problem, although I did not buy them again after switching from Wii to WiiU. Screw them.
(I do believe that they fixed it though, by letting you link your account to other Nintendo devices...IIRC)
