so I can hook up my original PS2 to my tv since I can only use hdmi on it. After hooking it up and trying several HDMI cables I can not get a signal to my tv. I have tried diffferent HDMI slots on my tv unplugging it and plugging everything back in. The PS2 turns on and seems to be working.
So what am I missing? Any help will be appreciated. Would like to get this thing working before I give up and send it back.

You may need to connect first with the original PS2 cable and then go into the settings and change the output to be used. That was the case when I used a component cable to connect my slim PS2 to my hd tv. It did not work until I connected with the original cable and selected component output.
That was about 10 years ago. I still have that old 1080p tv that has 3 hdmi, 2 RCA, and 2 component inputs. The use of component output provides improved visuals for games with the option of progressive scan like Gun and Scarface. Also some PS2 games have a hidden progressive scan option that needs a certain controller button pressing to activate. I found that info online.
So after spending hours trying to get this to work blindly I never got it to work. This is the biggest piece of ***** ever and I will not be buying anything from Mayflash ever again. Unless you can hook up your PS2 to your TV with the original cables you can't use this device, and if you can do that why on earth would you buy this piece of *****?
Stay away from this product and all of Mayflash products.
