So it looks like I will be buying my co-workers Xbox One off of him since he will be upgrading to a One X. With the free with gold games I have been locking in and the game pass I feel I should be set with games for awhile.

I saw on Kotaku that it is rumoured that Crackdown 3 is delayed until 2019. Only a rumour at this point but interesting given that E3 is on us now.

@JohnnyShoulder I'm all for delaying games if they need it, so not a big problem for me. I do wonder though if there is a fundamental problem with the game. MS don't seem to be having much luck with first party output.

@JohnnyShoulder @Rudy_Manchego There was a rumour going round that it was cancelled completely. Its certainly becoming an Albatross now but its of their own making. The original reveal made such a big thing about the cloud based destruction and the trailer seemed to indicate that it would be in the main Single player portion, that when the game was shown off at E3 last year, it greatly disappointed. It wasn't helped that it looked a lot like the 360 games too - part of the problem with Cel-shading. Then with Gamescom and letting 'famous' people who have NO gaming ability try to play it and enthuse about it just made the game seem even worse. We also had Agents of Mayhem which didn't exactly set the gaming world alight so it was hastily delayed to try and bring something to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole game has had to be reworked. You can't have 'destruction' and still have Orbs, roof top races etc. Having 'some' destruction sticks out like a sore thumb too. You are also supposed to be an 'agent' protecting the city from the criminal gangs - not levelling it so the innocent are made homeless (or worse, killed). That alone adds an issue that the Devs may have to struggle to overcome. All in all, its now a proverbial Albatross and I wonder if they are now regretting to keep this project going and cancelled Scalebound...

It makes me wonder why put so much effort to try and fix it but cancel Scalebound.

@JohnnyShoulder Maybe because they thought Crackdown was closer to completion, its a 'first party' and known brand and/or 'thought' it would be a 'cheaper' and/or more successful game in the long run. Who knows - Big mistake in my mind but I wasn't at the meeting or fully aware of the situation with both games. I was far more interested in Scalebound myself...

New game announced - probably won't be covered on this site as it appears to be 'exclusive'. Something looks a bit off with it to me - the gun handling for a start.

SO what are people hoping to see from the XBOX event, any reveals (exclusive or multiplatform) your hoping to see?, any new XB features you would like? (personally i want them to expand the Backwards Compatibility Program and let us use it even if our XB1's are offline) and according to Phil Spencer's Twitter page they will be Premiering 15 new games

the event is 9pm UK time and i'm pretty sure @get2sammyb said they was going to host the event on the site so that should go live about 20-30 minutes before the show starts and of course you can watch it on Youtube, Mixer and on your XB1's

EDIT: OH! and who wants to bet they will show or announce at least 1 Battle Royale game?

Forza Horizon 4 is virtually a guarantee as these release every year but this will be the first built specifically with the X/PC and scaled down for the OG/Slim. Halo could be a possibility after nearly 3yrs and even Gears could be revealed after nearly 2 years since these released. Halo Master Chief may get some mention as that is getting X-enhanced. Games like Fable 4 and Perfect Dark could be a possibility too as both are heavily rumoured but whether these are 'advanced' enough to reveal, I don't know.

MS have made a conscious decision to keep reveals to the year ahead only after some high profile cancellations and delays. The backlash from those have meant that MS were only going to reveal games that they expect to release within the next year (before the next E3) to avoid the backlash. However with Sony announcing games years ahead, that also makes MS's seem even more limited so maybe they will be prepared to announce some games that are in 'early' development.

Obviously MS don't offer VR (not yet anyway - maybe because the Slim can't handle it) but they will also count 'Indies' and 'early access' games as 'exclusives' - even if they are timed so if they are announcing '15' new games, I doubt they will all be AAA blockbusters...

I think it'll be a good show. They have to have a few cool suprises, no?

Unfortunately i got a load of company so only going to be able to keep half an eye on the event

OK so i'm thinking of getting Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the XBOX ONE, this will be the first time i brought an AC game on XBOX but i had been on a break until Origins so i have still yet to buy Unity, Syndicate and Rouge so i was wondering if it's worth getting them on XBOX ONE too before Odyssey comes out

@FullbringIchigo I don't think there is any significant advantage - no X enhancements (although I could be wrong - its been a while). The main advantage comes from the 'Boost' mode that the X offers which is significantly better than a Pro's boost mode. However, if there was a difference in things like resolution or visual settings, the PS4 may be 'better' visually but the X would play more consistently. I don't think you will gain a lot by buying them specifically on Xbox though and the game-play is more AC4 than AC Origins - particularly combat.

@BAMozzy i figured as much but still getting them on the XB1 will let me save HDD space on my PS4 so it might still be better to get them on there
