I recently bought a pretty decent gaming rig and I'm just now getting around to playing around with it.
PC's are an unending source of frustration, so having spent a whole day getting the Bluetooth to work with motherboard updates, driver updates and Windows 11 being it's usual bitchy little OS, I finally got it to recognize my DualSense controller.
However, when trying to use it with American Truck Simulator via Steam Input, it was a disaster. Super laggy input, buttons not responding, controller cutting in and out, you name it.
I then decided to try another game that claimed "full controller support" (Eastshade) and that refused to recognize my controller altogether.
Both of these games worked beautifully with the DualSense on my old PC with Windows 10, so I'm wondering if this is just another case of Windows 11 being the worst OS ever built or if there is something else interfering here.
Has anyone gotten the DualSense to work reliably via Bluetooth on Win11 and, if so, do you have any tips for me?
So, guess what? I figured it out. That's what posting questions in a forum will do, I guess
The problem was, no surprise, me: I had not set up my gaming rig properly. As I would not be using the WiFi capabilities of the motherboard, I had neglected to connect the WiFi antenna... which also doubles as a Bluetooth antenna.
Once that one was in place, everything was smooth sailing!
So, I'll leave this here, in the off chance that someone as scatterbrained as me comes along and wonders why their controller doesn't work properly
